Because the BR is so powerful BR starts unbalance the game and create unfair advantages for the teams that play in parties or have a stacked unbalanced team for example I find myself getting into 2 on 1 situations a lot and if both of the enemy players have BRs vs my one BR I will lose that fight most of the time because of how overpowered the BRs are. But with AR starts when I’m in that situation I actually have a chance of beating both players since one of the players or both probably will not have a BR. Thus it creates a chance to use individual Skill vs getting killed by being outnumbered. It takes much more skill to have less BR’s on the map since they are so powerful. They really are more like a power weapons and should only be pick ups to keep the game balanced.

YES! Thank you! They absolutely need to go back to being pick ups on the map. It’s always interesting to see teams rush BR locations, because if you get one or two BRs on your team, it means easier access to power weapons and map control as long as you keep ammunition supplied and most of all…if the person holding the BR knows how to use it effectively. With everyone starting with a BR, that tense chess match that we had that first week is totally gone. With fewer BRs on the map, it once again becomes a team game and not a ‘pot shot’ multiplayer.
Graned teamwork with AR starts could still dominate but yes I agree
im curious why people have mainly started conplaining about this in halo 5 rather than previous ones as well?

If youre playing not playing with people from your friends list rarely will your teammates use actually teamwork.
It gets really annoying when you try sticking with your teammates and they sprint off away from you.
It gets really annoying as an individual after a while.
You don’t really got this all the right way. If you meet a team with dominant teamwork, I can promise you, that having BR starts is way, way better than having AR starts. You will get spawn-massacared if you don’t spawn with BR’s, because you can’t protect yourself of spawn.

Not so much the case in H5. Week one was different from any other Halo game in that you didn’t NEED the easy to use utility weapon.

Halo has always had a good balance of individual skill and team work. H5 feels like it’s 90% team work. Most kills are of the routine variety. I can’t remember a single highlight moment in week two of the beta. Multi kills are usually just clean up work. Nothing special.
BR starts is fun when it’s parties aginst each other. But when you are running solo it’s a nightmare. I Start getting shot before I can even move with BR starts. With AR starts the other team wouldn’t be close enough for this to kill me. It’s just a constant cycle of getting double and triple teamed without the possibilty to win or run. If you do run, your shield doesn’t recharge and they just call it out and yiu get shot from 4 directions at once. Rinse and repeat to games ending 50-28 like half of my slayer games. Parties shouldnt be matched against Randoms.
This would be much easier to battle alone if your shields recharged while running. Since they dont, you will lose almost all 2 on 1 battles if they just push forward. In old halos you could retreat and get your shield back. Now if you run away, the aggressor will always have the advantage since they out number you and your shield is down permanantly until they stop chasing you and you can hide. You could just walk away, but they will catch you even quicker. Frustrating? Very.
