Actually I read the guidelines and it says nothing about a post mentioning the president or political “reference” is illegal. And the point I am making is the AR is way to OP and any bad kid can stand still and not move and get kills. And what do you care if I post about Obama. You either A. voted for him and you should be happy he won or B. you didnt vote him in witch case you should enjoy the truth of my post. Not to mention ask me if I care if they ban me. I am giving 343i until about Jan 21 to come out with ranked playlist and visible CSR or I am done playing this game and any other Halo forever. So please keep telling on me for my post. #badkids

DON’T. GET. CLOSE.
The AR is GOOD at close range. If you’re an idiot and bring a DMR or a BR to a close range fight where neither of those guns is suited for then that’s just YOU being a fool.
And you have to move, it’s an absolute must when using an AR. Being stationary in general is a bad idea unless you’re sniping or camo-ing but with an AR it’s a death sentence. If you’re getting killed by an AR user who is not moving then it’s not the AR user who lacks any form of skill.

To be close enough to be effective with AR means your taking a lot of damage
So yeah you may get kills but also a ton of deaths
Not to mention you cannot assist a teammate across the map who may be in trouble
Not to mention you cannot get a quick kill on a one shot who is trying to run
Not to mention not a single pro in the History of the Halo Franchise has ever requested the AR be put into MLG regulation because its for bad kids
Not to mention 343i themselves in the challenges specifically list precision weapons and automatics (badkid weapons)
Not to mention the AR shares the same reticle as she Shotgun. Nuff said…

Sometimes you can lock down a certain part of the map with a sniper, deny access to the enemy players…
Plus you’re the one who said the AR user didn’t have to move and still get kills. I said that’s quite frankly a load of -Yoink- and you know it.

But it’s not a bad weapon. You’re just too close minded to see beyond your precious little training wheel DMR.

Unless you’re using cover to move up, or sneaking about, or ambushing unsuspecting people, or just generally NOT pulling a Leroy Jenkins.

If you’re a bad player, or are getting lots of lag, or just don’t have the aptitude with the Assault Rifle in general, etc.
I mean sure any idiot can use it, but only a good player can use it and do well.

I tend to stay with my teammates so they wouldn’t be “across the map” Even if they were I’d have a backup weapon like the Magnum to help with the AR’s lack of ranged punch.
Even then were I in a map THAT large I’d just pull out a BR. The AR is a “close range” weapon…as opposed to the Halo 3 model that was decent at close as well as mid range…

Depends, sometimes I will, sometimes I’ll whip out a grenade instead or my trusty magnum.

I thought it was because they can’t stand anything that doesn’t have a scope. I mean they strip out just about everything but a handful of guns and play a watered down Halo after all on variations of pretty much the same symmetrical box maps over and over.

Because that’s the weapon classification? ARs, Storm Rifles, and Suppressors are…you know…AUTOMATIC weapons?

Reach started that stupid elephant sized crosshair, Halo 3’s was the best overall.
Hell Halo 3’s AR was the best overall in my opinion. More accurate, same damage, more ammo. Just sounded like -Yoink- and wasn’t hit-scan.

I’ll mention I got a ton of deaths but I picked a effective weapon for the gametype And map I was playing
You can easily get long range assist with AR, assist require less damage than ever before… I got them in Reach with AR. However you would be a bad kid to even think of using it long range when there are better options. But that doesn’t make the gun bad
You can get very quick kills on a one shot with AR… Ur nuts

343? What, we classified them precision or automatic long before 343 arrived and that is based on headshot capability, not “are you bad for using it”

I will say this, it’s an easy gun to use… But not an easy gun to use effectively. It has its strengths and weaknesses. If you plan on playing on a small map with plenty of closed/short sight lines… It’s a good move, smart even, to choose an assault rifle.
