An arranged team of 4 players has a huge advantage over a team of randomly matched players creating an unfair match. Back in Halo 3, an arranged team of four could only match other arranged teams of four which made the games way more balanced in my opinion. Quality matching needs to be prioritized over fast matching in an extremely competitive fps like halo in my opinion.
inb4 “then join a spartan company”
Sorry I don’t want to wait 10 minutes to find a match because you made the mistake of going solo. Make some friends they’re ya go problem solved
If more people played with teams then more teams would get matched up with equal sized teams.
Or you can just keep playing solo and keep complaining that the game isn’t catering to you instead of the people who are actually using the tools that are available, aka friends list.

It’s comments like these that make me wish that there was a dislike button next to the like button. People don’t always have others online to play with. That is the point of matchmaking! The fact that Halo 5 has this issue shows where 343is priorities are. They are more worried about adding new REQ cards so people can spend more money, than fixing problems that drastically reduce the amount of fun people can have. I understand that this doesn’t happen every game. I understand that a majority of the games are perfectly fine. But I also understand that the Warzone playlist is basically unplayable on the weekends for solo players because Spartan Companies don’t play to have fun, but instead play to farm commendations.
Friends list: Use it
Problem solved.

How do you think the fasted way to get Achilles is? Finish games fast or grind as many kills as possible out for the company?
Right wait ten minutes or more for a match to start…
Matching by team size would be ideal, but I suspect that h5 doesnt have the population to support it.

First they would have to release the population number… Something they refuse to do for mcc or 5
This game apparently has the best player retention since Halo 3. Halo 3 had no issues matching parties against other parties. The system as it is now is unfair to those of us who often have to go in alone. Sometimes friends aren’t on. Sometimes we have work schedules that don’t allow us to play with frIends. If it worked in Halo 3, why can’t it work now?

Which is why I suspect it.

Because I hated waiting 10 minutes to get into a match. I don’t want that again. Also you don’t have to play by yourself be social. Also halo 5 doesn’t have the population
Matching in Halo 3 didn’t take ten minutes. Even getting into matches in the MLG playlist (usually 1000-2000 people) took under a minute - even above level 40.
A lot of the people on this forum, don’t seem to realize that the majority of Halo 5 players will never log on here, they’ve never heard of a Spartan company, and are just trying to enjoy themselves. Matching teams against teams and randoms versus randoms would only add a few seconds to match loading times. It may also aid in population retention as people would generally have a more fair and fun experience.

Are we saying that solo players never matched teams in H3?
if you don’t want to play against a 4 stack in the 4v4 competitive playlist then you should probably not play that playlist, that’s the entire point.

So the people who play solo should only play what FFA? The matching shouldn’t put a loaded team of people against a bunch of randoms who probably only half are skilled. It goes for all game types in my opinion i prefer playing with randoms but not randoms against a company of 12. Every time i get on I don’t want to need to pair up with people to do well. Seriously half the games I play there are groups that make up most of the team. 12 skilled people that work as a team against randoms that arent as skilled whats the fun in that? Getting to pad your stats with people you met on the internet and kill people easily? I doubt they will ever change the matching so kinda useless.

These are absolutely ridiculous responses. Though for at least one of you i’m not surprised given the recent post history.
It is not ALWAYS feasible to party up with three others for arena. No matter how many friends you have. I don’t care that your team of four has to wait 10 min. I should to have to be destroyed because nobody on my friends list happens to be playing Halo at that time. If the goal is a positive playing experience, this is the fastest way to kill it. Not enough 4 man teams to match you…tough cookies. Randoms should NEVER be matched against full fire teams…ever…period.
