Like for the red visor, You need 1 million credits ( for example)
Or like this, For the red visor you need to be level 30-50( for example )
Or is it going to be combination? You need 1 million credits and level 30-50?
We haven’t been detailed on if ranks will be needed for armour, but some of it is unlocked via achievements, weapons will be unlocked via rank, with a Spartan Point purchase needed.

So, You start lets say with a carbine and the pistol? And you can unlock Battle rifle, Light rifle… and all the other primary’s and secondary’s by getting spartan points? And then use them to buy one?

There hasn’t been anything like Armor Effects in Halo 4 nor have they’ve been shown off in the sneak peaks in the Halo 4 Armory. Just armor, skins, and what not.
You unlock new stuff (weapons, skins, armor, visors etc) in Halo 4 by reaching new levels and something about Spartan Points (i keep being told it’s not in the game or it is, so not really sure). It’s a 1-50, non skill based progression system. It goes like this.
EX: SR-1 or SR-40
SR stands for Spartan Rank, which will indicate your current level with a numbered value based upon how much experience you’ve gained in your Infinity career. Experience gained in Spartan Ops and War Games is interconnected; Whatever you earn (exp, weapons, armor, visors, skins etc) in one mode carries over to the next and vice versa.
However, if you want the Mark VI helmet and Legendary visor (Master Chiefs visor color) you need to complete the game’s Campaign on Legendary.

Yes, although, I’ll have to let someone else clarify this, I haven’t even heard Spartan Points mentioned since the Gameinformer magazine.
Just to remind you also, there will be pre-set loadouts on each maps, which will suit the playstyle of that map, you in theory, you could be using a Battle Rifle at SR-01, even if the unlock requirement is SR-05 for your only custom loadouts.

You’re the second person to mention it, it is actually correct, but not for the Halo 2 quote, in the Making Halo 4: A Hero Awakens Part 1, Cortana says “Don’t make a girl a promise, you can’t keep.” at the very end, a lot of people missed it because it plays directly after the ‘Made by 343 Industries’ stuff.

Looking at this image, you can’t see SR ranks or the ‘ranked’ ranks, but Frankie said recently that they were deciding if they would make ‘ranked’ ranks viewable by others or hide it to just the player.

When I said that, I meant more past tense, the last we heard of the ‘ranked’ ranking system, they were still deciding, the game went gold last week, so they’ve likely already made their decision and will share it with us when ready.
Ah okay, Well it isn’t a big deal for me. It’s always nice to show off with your rank.
