Armour unlocked by achievements

i keep seeing this on the forum and can’t understand why people would want it, having an achievement linked to armour is bad because it no longer makes it unique. For example was so happy to unlock Hayabusa but then I saw 90% of players wore it and it just felt cheap.

With armour being random it won’t have a label attached to it and being able to pick freely without the need to be like “look what I unlocked”. Everyone will more than likely have there own individual set. Halo 5 has 175 sets of armour, if they made a set that was unlocked by a “hard” achievement, you probably wouldn’t see people in the other sets.

p.s I’m aware I’m wearing the helioskrill set, oh the irony haha but as soon as the game launches I will be wearing locke’s set I got with my pre order untill I unlock veils set

Totally agree with you. It’s way better when you personalize yourself instead of bragging about the same accomplishments thousands of over people have through a suit of armor.

I could really care less how armors unlock. Mjolnir Mk V is the only armor I need.

I looking forward to how the mark IV will turn out, hope it looks like it did in halo wars  hoping 343 don’t mutilate it to much though haha

I agree. It’s like playing Destiny and seeing everyone in the Raid armor. (I’m so tired of that game and can’t wait to be playing Halo!)

While I can 100% agree that seeing everyone in the same armor does cheapen it; it’s super hard to even tell what anyone is wearing on the field. I rather like the idea of getting something on top of the achievement especially if it’s a difficult one. With this random REQ card system, literally anyone can get the coveted Helljumper get-up day one and all based on luck not skill.

So am I the only one that sees the irony in this guy wearing Helioskrill?

I was playing around with the waypoint armour thing :L I will be wearing lockes armour or nightfall at launch  plus it’s not exclusive to the achievement you can unlock via req system

I hope there is, like the legendary Armour that is inspired by blue team and osiris so that there is a surefire way to earn them, like finish the osiris campaign while only playing as buck or play as Linda and never run out of ammo in your sniper in the entire campaign.

You can already get blue teams and Osiris’s armour sets via req :stuck_out_tongue:

Coming from the guy wearing Helioskrill, an achievement based armor…

Read the whole thing before posting :L and it’s also unlocked by req pack as well

How I feel about the situation; Achievement based armor is fine as long as you have to really earn it

For the most part i can hardly even tell what my team members are wearing much less the enemy teams between shooting and movement trying to not be shot lol.

Tbf in halo 4 and reach you couldn’t really tell, but in halo 3 everyone was a bloody samurai and it was an eye sore haha

I have no issue with how armor is aquired, if they wanna toss it into achievements to get it sooner but still make it available through req, I’m fine with that. I’m glad we have so many choices to choose from, but really I only notice someone’s helmet in battle at the most. But keep the variations coming as I do like to customize my spartan.

I had the assassination armor pretty fast in H4, and didn’t see many folks with it till later.

I don’t know, I kind of like the idea of getting armor from achievements. It kind of shows something you’ve completed in the game, for example if you were to unlock a set for completing the whole campaign on legendary.

The hours of fun and hard work completing the vidmaster achievements made me yearn for that experience again in the upcoming Halo games. I’m sure someone knows what I mean. Just ridiculous challenges that take teamwork and is such a feat that when you see it you’re like… -Yoink-, they actually did all of that for some armor?

Yeah, I hope that you will never have to do that in a Halo game.
