I’ve only skimmed over the forum but haven’t found any topics on this. If anyone has seen something similar, a link would be appreciated!
Just wondering what everyone’s thoughts were on how armour customisation is structured in the UI. 343i have improved the menus a great deal since launch but I feel there is still a lot that could be improved, especially within the customisation menus.
The more armour I unlock, the more I’m getting fed up with trawling through the countless tiles to get to the armour sets I’ve just unlocked.
I know it’s a big ask from 343i to improve it but there has to be a better way to for players to find the armour/helmet sets they like. I would love to see them laid out in folders per armour set, with that particular set’s variations within that folder. E.g. Armour > EVA > EVA Leonov.
This would massively reduce the amount of tiles players have to navigate in order to browse or select armour and would be far more clear in showing which variations belong to which set.
Players would also benefit have a simple indicator to say how many variations you have of that set in the top-right of the tile. E.g. “3/5”. Similarly, a hotkey to favourite sets could bring those folders to the front of the menu.
I’m just spitballing here but has anyone got any thoughts on this?

I didn’t even read the whole thing and I agree. I don’t even care if I unlock an armor or helmet because I don’t feel like scrolling through only to not remember the name of it and can’t find it since the new thing aren’t even identified.
The customization menu is a mess…
needs to be organized into:
armor by name~>variants of that armor
It has been discussed but I don’t know the link. Yes sorting them would be great, even from uncommon to legendary would be good.
Yeah even that would be better.
Come to think of it, the way I’ve suggested is basically Rocket League’s customisation system, but that works a hell of a lot better than the current system on Halo.
Literally any organization right now would be better. As is, its just the order you unlock them, which is problematic for so many reasons.
Tbh, the whole armor customization in Halo 5 was/is a bit of a -Yoink–show. I honestly would rather them get their system sorted for Halo 6 and have it perfect than try to put out this fire (if I had to choose, which we shouldn’t)
Totally agree with this. I’ve so far unlocked all the armor but Achillies and the organization is tough. Even just an alphabetical sort would be pretty nice.
yeah I agree too…I would like to change my armor more often however its such a mess trying to find what you want…They honestly should have it where you have a click>drop down for variants…like soldier as the base then drop down for the variants of soldier…

Like others have said, ANY kind of sorting would be awesome. Even if it’s just alphabetical.
I agree. Right now on halowaypoint the armor is organized by rarity first then alphabetical second. In game there is absolutely no order to the armor/helmets other than the order you unlocked them in. So to sift through them to find one you want is a disaster in game. Even if they adopted the same organization structure that the site has would be an improvement.
Totally agree. I don’t know why this hasn’t been implemented yet. 343 has done a lot of good things, but this customization menu is a blaring issue that needs to be adjusted/fixed.
I’d prefer if it was just sorted into rarity.

Agree…
hopefully after the major update they’ll sort this annoyance out, i’d rather just go in the armour packs and click the one i’ve unlocked, it’s a bit easier.
