It seems Halo Waypoint does not update my Spartan-III armor when I change it in-game. Is this some kind of glitch, and how can I fix this?
Unfortunately, it is not a glitch. Halo Waypoint discontinued Halo: Reach armor updating a while ago.
I also posted on this issue. I hate my Reach armor on Waypoint! But yeah, I hope 343 fixes this.

There isn’t going to be a fix. They said a few months before the website was updated that Halo Reach Spartans would no longer match what you had in game. Since Halo Reach is no longer supported (except for routine server maintenance) this is just how it is now.
