Armour lock Vs Hardlight shield

Armor lock protects all your body.

Hardlight shield only protects your front body.

At least we won’t see AL in halo 4 :slight_smile:

OT: hard light at least is balanced and doesn’t slow the game down to a crawl

There us no way anyone can compare a game breaking armour ability to a rather useful one that’s completely balanced.

Why people is so DUMB?!!!ELEVEN!!!
Armor lock is not the same as Shield,only because is a shield is not Armor Lock
With Hardlight Shield you can cover yourself and distract the other team,but you cand ie i f a grenade pass trough you and your shield
But Armor Lock is just OP and Unbalanced,is just that the match stops until the player go out of shield and jumps away trowing grenades

I’m happy that people can’t “Pop-Lock-&-Drop-It” anymore! I hate Armor lock, dang.

The EMP would render the Hardlight shield useless.

The Hardlight shield fits better in Halo 4.

I just hope the Hardlight Shield will destroy boosting ghosts. That was my number 1 use for Armor Lock in Halo Reach.

And it was the #1 reason why ghosts in Reach sucked. It doesn’t destroy ghosts and I’m glad.

Maybe halo reach combat ODST 2 3/4 vista Anniversary? I guess?

I love how the people defending Halo 4’s changes are being as irrational and talking in absolutes as much as the people who are hating on it. Let’s wait until the world gets their hands on the hardlight shield before we start declaring it “completely balanced”. I’m not saying it’s not, but that statement seems a bit premature. Just do what you’re telling all the haters to do and wait until we all get to play it.

It doesn’t? You’ve got to be joking. Hardlight can stop a Tank blast and send it flying, but not destroy a boosting Ghost? I hope that can be changed in the future.

It doesn’t block ANYTHING physical. You can still get splattered and meleed. And if you ask me, that’s for the better.

Based on what we know, it’s safe to say it’s at least a lot more balanced than AL was.

-doesn’t block splatters and melees
-only protects one side(and even then, not your feet)
-because of above factor, grenades are still very effective unless thrown directly in front of shield
-doesn’t negate being stuck

Yes, we don’t know exactly how balanced it will be till launch, but right now it’s safe to say we have a fairly good idea.
