After seeing the most of halo 5 armours, and still no option of sorting them through (obivous wish/hint to 343) i am asking my self a big question. Why do we have so much “useless” armour variants. As an example: the LOCUS armour is the same as the aviator, The SCANNER is just the solider armour and the new one like marevirk or vector are at least a little bit modified scout variants. I am asking myself, why? To increase the req pool? Lazynes? or was it because of a lack of idea, the goblin or seaker armours and helmets look like sh** to me… but some like them, thats taste.
I love how you drop a “wish/hint” to 343 then proceed to call them lazy. But we do need an armor sorting option (or at least arrange them alphabetically, for Pete’s sake).
“the goblin or seaker armours and helmets look like sh** to me… but some like them, thats taste.” That’s called “subjectivity”.
But yeah, REQs. They needed a lot of REQs. That’s why we have so many armors.
oh and the fact that some armor have the same arm and leg pieces as other armor. Example Cypher has Parts from Scout armor? lol… They should have given us full armor customization. Oh yeah, we are definitely going to have so many different variations of spartans. Sees 23 Wrath armor in a warzone match… lol and its “laziness” not “lazyness” Geez And they could have at least given the options to switch shoulders.

Yes but the companies do not market a Honda Civic with leather seats as a Honda Scanner.
343i purposefully cut back the options of customization and dumped armors upon armors of the same thing with little to no changes, solely with the intent to flood the REQ pool.
The more we discuss Halo 5 on these forums, the more I wish it just hadn’t come out yet. I’d much rather that they had kept it in development for a few more months or a year and have released a game to the standards of the franchise. Hopefully for Halo 6 they will.

Way I see it, the more small variations they make, the more chances they have to have at least ONE armor that pleases at least ONE person. The more pleased people, the better.
the problem i see is in mathematical terms. As an example lock into the borderlands with its bazilion diferent weapons randomly generated. the simply consist of diferent grund models like zooms, scopes barels etc. but in combination they create this big number of posibilitys. Like reach. There we only had 1 armour. MK V, but with a lot of options and suboptions. in Halo 5 we have only 4 option for costomasation.
I would like if they added at least diferent HUD colours , or designs like in the campain. The undersuite in your own colour or just black. Ther are a tons of simple things that 343 can ad with little effort, even in the dumm req system.
What is this continual hate for 343 i give them props for trying to please all old and new fans and the req system is not a money scheme just grind it out!!
There is no hate in tha fact that 343 new system coustomasation is compared to reach nad halo 4 a backstep because we cant change every piece of the armour.
Can you tell us why they did this? poor game engine? no effort for these things , they changed a lot of halo core things to open the game for more players, too much for my taste

Leather seats are nice and all… but they don’t do a thing to make the car perform any better. It’s for nothing but looks. Which would actually mean something if I were going to a car show, where the cars were sitting still long enough to appreciate all the cool little details that the owners thought about adding.
Put 8-16 Corvettes on a track, all competing to win an event and nobody will even notice who has the chrome plated skull shift handle if they did care. But hey, as long as some people are willing to keep spending, the manufacturers will keep making… then again, there’s only so many ways to make the same thing look different before you run out of good ideas. Then it’s just done to keep the money coming in… careful… req in turn 2.
