I was thinking that to make each individual players armour more unique, they could implement an Autosculpt similar to Need For Speed: Carbon, so that you can make your armour different to others that are using the same armour, giving everybody even more individuality and uniqueness.
Also include “Detail” like in halo 3 you could choose the colour of stripes on your character. Maybe choose different “Details” or different primary and secondary patterns.
Detail and visor colour should always show what colour you choose, like for teamed games your primary and secondary gets overrided by your teams colour, but you personal detail colour you’ve chosen still shows.
it should be at least like in Halo2 so even in Team gametypes everyone can see your secondary colour… thats all im asking for really… but ya that autosculpt thingy would be great!
I’m not sure if I’d want it to be exactly like what was shown in the NFS video, but I agree that their should be a finer amount of detail to be selected with each piece of armor so that you can truly be unique from everyone else.

I was just using the NFS video as an example of the idea, to at least be able to maybe change the position of certain parts of the armour like the accessories on the helmets or arms.
I’d rather have set pieces honestly. It’s a good idea but it’s a lot to ask for too. If you mix and match pieces from each piece of armor in a way to make other pieces it could maybe work.

reach customization was more than halo 3, but i doubt they will spend time making a huge amount of customization when they can spend that time making MM/campaign/some other random mode even better
they will most likely do the general “switch your armour/change the colour” routine, adding to reach customization with more visor colours/new armour/armour effects/etc…

I’m pretty sure they have divisions within 343i to make sure that the guys working on MM aren’t the same guys working on armor customization… So it’s not a matter of how much time they have to spend on something…
