Armour cores. gone or changed?

This has been a topic already discussed in the community but I want to talk about it.

Armour cores should be gone or changed in a way that we can fully experience the ¨millions of posibilites¨ in customisation that 343 promised us. The helmet, chest, gloves, etc should be similar to the personalization in other Halo games. Just one Spartan armour that we can customise with the armour form the cores.

Another option is to leave the cores, but have the option to put one piece of armour from a core onto another. This way, we can have different Spartan armours/cores (3 spartant armours as it stands today) with diferent customisation.

I hope this can be changed in a near patch or until de Next season. Before I leave, I would like to show this video from shesaidshewaslvl18 that explains how this changes can show how cool our Spartan can look.

I don’t mind the core system. But certain pieces, particularly coatings and visor colors, should be unlocked from cores.

I can understand both lore and more importantly game design reasons to lock the physical armor attachments to cores. Especially since it allows the designers to go nuts with future additions. Removing our ability to equip attachments across cores provides the designers with the freedom to create more unique and exotic designs and shapes for new cores and their attachments going forward. The reverse happens if we get the freedom to equip gear cross-core, designers get limited because they have to “future proof” all of their future cores by having them conform as similarly to the shape of the existing cores, so the attachments fit on them as well.

It’s a question of whether we give the players the freedom to equip everything exactly where they want, but limit what cool new designs we can get in future seasons. Or if the players take the hit, but let the designers run wild with future content.

I actually like the armor cores. But I think it’s bad to not have coatings and visors crosscore. I also think it’s bad to be drip-fed emblems, instead of getting one emblem which you can use on everything.
Like what are they thinking?

I say keep the armor cores. But have plenty of items be inter-changable.

There is no reason that the Mark V Bravo helmets cannot be used on the Mark VII armor core. Same goes with Visor colors, helmet attachments, shoulder armor, gloves, and knee guards.

I can understand the Fractures armor cores we will be getting to be not able to mix, after all; Samurai and Dieselpunk don’t really mix well with Sci-Fi industrial circa 2550s
