Personally, I’m not excruciatingly happy with halo 4’s armoury, it definitely isn’t bad though. But it kind of lacks the old halo sense, I’m not the only one to think that the recruit helmet is one of the “real” halo helmets in halo 4. So I was wondering, would it be possible to get new variations of armour through the next dlc? Either directly or maybe by unlocking an achievement that you can only gain access to if you purchase the dlc. For example, you could unlock the beloved mk V armour by completing an achievements hat is part of a map pack, the blue flames as a tribute to bungie or maybe even the haunted helmet. I’d love to see this happen, at least consider it for the next halo game to come 343. See you starside c:
i am still hoping for Hayabusa to return!
EXACTLY, although sadly I wasn’t a part of halo 3’s glorious servers
I’m not sure, but I’d rather have them fix the problems with the game before they focus on armor. I think it might be cool to see the Haunted Helmet again, though. I doubt they would include the blue flames since that was Bungie’s thing, and there aren’t any Armor Effects in this game.

No.
The armor would only be on the new maps, which would not accomplish anything, as it needs to be on all existing maps (not to mention the main menu), otherwise it would appear to be default armor on every map other than the dlc since it just doesn’t exist (assuming you even manage to select it, since it’s not on the main menu).
The only way to add new data to every map would be to replace every map entirely, meaning you’d need every single person with the game to download the entire game from scratch (along with any and all map packs), which is far more hassle than adding an armor piece would be worth. They mentioned this about Reach at one point (and h4’s engine is practically unchanged from Reach, even the locale decryption key still reads ‘HaloBungieReach!’ lol).

I agree. The helmet all feel like no of them have visors. Personally i still wear all recruit armor because i like the helmet and i think it looks the best
Hetes a question I haven’t seen asked in similar threads: Wouldn’t it be possible to push new armor to all players as a required update outside the DLC?
I miss the more classic helmets, helmet variants, and armor effects.

I thought that Halo 4’s engine was a heavily modified version of Reach’s engine, just as Reach’s was a heavily modified version of Halo 3’s, etc.?
new maps without any new armour, weapons and vehicles is biiter sweet.
I just want my Mark V back.
special unlock should be a visor that is animated with flames.

Umm you do know that there are people who work at 343 studios who are assign different jobs such as making DLC’s or fixing bugs. If 343 creates new armor, it doesn’t mean they aren’t fixing bugs…
you all talk as if the game engine is the same as previous titles. In halo 4 spartan ops we can see a covie cruiser unleash waves of phantoms on ragnrok or modders create 30ft tall behemoth flood monsters. i wouldnt be surprised about dlc armor
Although it looks amazing, we’re pretty sure Hayabusa won’t be making a return in halo 4 I just really want 343 to keep the armoury “alive” and interesting by adding some new armour variants from time to time
New armor will never be added.
Knowing 343 and Microsoft armor will likely be in its own dlc, with a not so nice price not covered by the war games pass.
