So I was just on youtube watching some people have a 1 on 1 on a remake of lockout that they built in forge (pretty good looking actually) and one of them used Promethean vision and he was able to see the other play no matter where he was on the map just because the range of his sight was greater than the size of the map.
After seeing that it triggered this thought in my head, do you think this may have been a factor in the development of halo 4 and be one of the reasons we have no small maps? maybe this is also one of the reasons game types such as double team are missing. This is just my thoughts on the subject and I want to be clear that I am in no way saying that this is the full reasoning behind the choices.
