Hey Halo Heads!
So i was talkin with afew people on Reach last night, And there was talk of a possible update in the Armory, Which will open further armour to choose from, and possibly more colours for our Spartans, Is there any truth in this as i cant seem to find anything online?

Personally I believe there will be new armour when anniversary comes out, currently the armory has 10 million unused credits.

It wont happen. To update the Armoury, 343 would have to release a patch to redownload all the .map files for multiplayer and campaign, which would be one huuuuuuuuuuuuuge download.
Releasing armour via CEA also doesn’t seem likely.

Although, the “mystery” helmet in that Defiant MP screenshot may suggest otherwise. I had a feeling it was faked though.

Well it was probably a “real” screenshot put out by 343i I’m sure, but it was most definitely made on a developer build 360 to see if they could find an easy way to add armor to Reach. At least that’s the way I see it. Makes sense to me so I stick by it.
Of course I highly doubt there will ever be new armor added to Reach. On the other hand it is possible to do, just really hard to do. So hard that I’m fairly certain that they’ve given up on adding new armor to Reach. I could be wrong. They might add armor. Probably not.
If they do add armor I’ll jump-for-joy, though.
Yeah i think your all probably right, it would be a big ask for 343i to do so, Although i must admit i’m more than happy with the Armory, Just slightly disappointed with the lack of colours to choose from, As my Wife loved the hot pink which was available in Halo3. Me personally? I’d like to see jet black available, now that would be sick =)

JetBlack was seen in the Damnation preview with a full black spartan assassinating a yellow spartan. Maybe their is a surprise addition to the Armory coming.

It does look kinda black, doesn’t it? I think it might be blue though. The map is all Covenant-y dark blues and purples, and I think it might be from video compression or something. I think he’s blue. Black would be sweet though!

Although they have said it is possible for them to add armor to the game, they have also stated that they will not be doing it anytime soon.

Who knows, in future games titles maybe, Reach…Highly unlikely…Sadly =(
