I purchased the Mark VI helmet in Reach and now it says I haven’t. Any one else have a similar experience?

I used the Recon helmet code that came with my game back when it came out, used it for the first few months, then purchased other helmets. Now, I have to buy the Recon helmet to use it again. That’s as close as I can come…

You should ALWAYS have the ability to use the downloaded helmet, without purchase of the previous attachment and helmet.

That’s what I thought. I was a little surprised to see that big cR number next to the helmet I had previously worn.

When I unlocked the previous two buyables for the Recon Variant, I could always & still wear the code downloaded attachment.

I lost the credits. I bought the helmet months ago and was wearing another helmet. I went last night to change my helmet to the Mark VI and it said I hadn’t purchased it. My spartan model on Bungie and Waypoint still show that I’m wearing the Mark VI so that’s proof I have bought it and previously wore it. I even purchased the first attachment for it. Now when I go in the armory it just shows the default Mark VI helmet and says it’s 300,000 credits and that I don’t have enough to purchase it (I recently bought inclement weather so I have barely any credits at the moment). Weirdest part is it’s only the Mark VI helmet having this issue. I checked and every other thing I’ve bought in the armory is still available for me to wear.

Try deleting & recovering your profile from Xbox LIVE.

It didn’t work. Would clearing the cache on your hard drive have any effect on credits and/or things purchased in the armory? My 360 was acting up the other day and I cleared the cache and it fixed the issues with my hard drive, but may that be the reason? If so, any way to fix it?
