How’s your day going Halo Community? I am here to ask what do you think of armors from previous Halo games being brought to Halo Infinite? If that does happen, what armor do you want to be brought back in Halo Infinite, and do you want that armor to have the same design? Or do you want it to have an edited version? For me, I hope Helioskrill returns in Halo Infinite.
I wouldn’t mind seeing armor variants from previous titles in Halo Infinite. But keep in mind, the new art style to the entire game plus the fact the Mjolnir Armor is getting a complete design overhaul for the sake of a new generation implies that if some older variants were to return, they might get updated/revamped to fit the Gen 3 theme. Although 343 Industries did try being a little nostalgic with past variants by adding Gen 1 based armor in Halo 5 so anything is possible. For me, I just want Kelly’s armor. The Hermes armor in Halo 5 was pretty cool to me and seeing it in the art for Halo Shadows ot Reach fills me with confidence.

This actually brings up a fairly interesting point: how many of the 343’s more unorthodox designs CAN be updated for the new artstyle? Something like the Engineer should be fairly easy and straightforward, but I can’t see them converting something like the Fotus without basically making it a completely new design. Or, as you said, they might just do a inverse-Halo 5: have some of the weirder design just being there with little to no changes, alongside all the new/classic stuff.
As for specific armor I’d love to see in Infinite, I would love to see the modified Mark VI/Mark VI Gen. 2 that the Chief wore in Halo 4 and 5. I adore the design, and it’s a shame we’ve never had the opportunity to see it outside of the H4 and H5 campaigns.

When you say you wanted John’s modded Mark VI, I couldn’t help but giggle. I partly blame the Halo Community for that one there. Originally they voted unanimously to have that armor exclusive to him back in Halo 4’s heyday. But complained later about why they couldn’t use it. At the end of the day, the fans really don’t know what they want.

…we actually had a community vote on this? Wasn’t active on Waypoint when Halo 4 came out, but leaving out the new (old?) Mark VI out just because of a community vote is…something else. But then again, I agree that “We don’t know what we want” has been a relevant motto for the Halo community ever since Halo 2 came out
ALL the Armor from Halo 3, (Including Elites, if that happens.) and most/all from Reach. And 4/5… don’t know how 343 will do that… but chances are they’ll at least do Fotus? Perhaps, the Timmy helmet will work?
I want my EOD from reach.
I used to like the Security helmet. The fact that it’s a callback to Bungie’s Marathon is really cool, and the Mark V (Reach) and Mark VI (Halo 3) variant looks like your spartan is wearing aviators.
Unfortunately, like many other modern redesigns, it looks like absolute bug-eyed trash in Halo 5.
Make Security great again.
Hayabusa, Achilles, Prefect, H3 Rogue, Mk 5 and 6, Military Police, Gungnir, Haunted Helm, H3 Recon, too many more to name.
