Armor

Do you guys think in future Halo games,
Different armor have different perks to them? But my point is like what if Recon had extra speed? Or if scout had extra maneuverability? Or Mark Six had faster recharging shields? What do you guys think? Id rather not see this incorporated in any Halo game

I’d rather have them stay as a cosmetic gimmick and not a game-changing asset, I still have nightmarish flashbacks to Halo 4’s loadouts

I would hate for this to happen. What if I want to use the scout helmet, but it makes me speedier? What if I want to have extra armor instead? Oh, I guess I’ll have to use EOD, even though I really don’t like it. Sure, add perks to the loadouts, I don’t care. But do NOT combine it with the cosmetics
(sorry If I came off as aggressive, I feel very strongly about this)

Ok no offense taken. Just wanted to throw the idea out there

Yeah this sounds like a more involved version of H4s loadout system. Not only could you customize your loadout, but you could take it even further and customize your armor to fit your preferences. While H4s loadouts really messed with the even starts that were a hallmark of Halo, adding this feature would just make it worse.

i don’t think so, it wouldn’t be competitive and it would be too extra

I prefer to customize my Spartan for looks rather than sacrificing my fav combo for perks but if they put more time into making cool looking armour the perks idea may be a cool thing or just add perks without any connection to what armour you wear.

Most people would prefer armor remain aesthetic only.

Namely because the bulkier heavy armors being more realistic would make MP a slog.

Everyone in Halo Reach has those damn security right shoulders because of the Emile envy as it is

The main reason i like halo is the fact that (other than halo4 and reeach, where there are abilities) everyone has the exact same stats.

it’s fair starts, the only advantage a player can have is weapons or vehicles on the map that they get acces to because they know the maps or have the skills to get them first.
so in terms of stat perks from certain armors, I think it could be cool to see in campaign, but DEFO NOT in multiplayer

Nah, at least I hope not. Halo is a fair start game. If they did something like that I’d hope it would be some kind of special mode.

Suffers PTSD from halo 4

I think this would just make certain armors meta and you would see everyone wearing Recon cause it gives you the best attribute at the time until it gets nerfed and now everyone is wearing Scout until that gets nerfed and so on. Not saying it’s a bad idea I just don’t know how you could implement it without throwing off Halo’s established multiplayer.

Visible armor having in-game effects would be a terrible idea and kill the idea of customization. I believe most people would start setting their armor for either max protection or max mobility. That will end up with very little permutations in the game. Part of the fun–for me–is the diverse colors and armors everyone chooses. Gives the Spartans a personal, unique touch to each game I play.

I think a better idea would be to incorporate this into a specific mode so that it doesn’t affect normal gameplay. Especially if you’re matching against lower level players who don’t have the chance to get rarer armors.

Okay, am I the only one who enjoyed Halo 4 Multiplayer? I liked the unpredictability. Keeps me on edge, making me prepared for anything.

And no, Halo 4 was not my first Halo. Halo 3 was.

I would like the armor to remain simply as cosmetics; however, I would like the visor of each helmet to be different. Like how in the H5 campaign whoever you were playing as had a different visor. I thought that was cool and they should implement that into multiplayer.

I certainly hope not.
