i thought oceanic was a cool armor especially the body armor.
A combination of halo 3/reach amor.
Halo Reach armor needs to make a return! They should also bring back the CQC helmet from Reach. Hayabusa is another helmet that should return seeing that it only ever appeared once.
They need to start by removing armor rather than adding any. Just look at the drop in quality. Despite being nearly 10 years old 343s quantity over quality has yet to produce armor that even approaches many of reaches worst.

The whole deal with that one was a bit of cross-promotion between Bungie and Team Ninja. TN put a Spartan character and a fight stage based on Cairo Station in Dead or Alive 4, so Bungie made an armor set based on Ryu Hyabusa’s costume from the DOA and Ninja Gaiden games. That one probably isn’t coming back.
On topic though, I’d like to see pretty much everything from Halo 3 and Reach. I’ll even throw 343’s artists a bone and say that some of the Halo 4 stuff looked good, but I can live without the sets that were obviously found doodled next to some teenager’s chemistry notes.

Oh of course I can’t agree more. I’d say 70% of the armor in halo 5 I could live without.
but I’d say from every past halo game their has been some very nice armor even halo 5.
id like to see a lot of armor make a comeback like helioskrills, oceanic, OG recon halo 3 recon, Achilles.
but they could leave a lot of it behind or maybe improve it ALOT! No coffee maker helmets and body armor with wings. Maybe one or two ugly helmets for -Yoink- and giggles but geeze don’t make 50% of the armory laughable.
Halo 3/Reach Style ODST. Not the Halo 2 Air Assault-ish version, round Halo 4 version, skimpy Helljumper with the cheek tumors, or the bulbous Nightfall thing.
I really miss the JFO helmet from Reach. H5’s Defender just doesn’t quite cut it.
I miss having the possibility do change every little detail. One reason why I loved Reach. If it’s possible to costumize at this level of detail, I happily forget about some pieces of armor I loved back then.
I miss the Katana halo 3 had when you completed all of the achievements. It was something different and unique.
As long as there’s a good EVA helmet I’ll be a happy boi

I’m actually surprised nothing equivalent has shown up. Not sword wise but an extra armor piece for completing something hard to do. I don’t count Achilles

- Mark IV, V, and VI (Maybe Mark VII)
- EVA and Security
- Some of the armor tied to achievements

Overall I was a really big fan of Halo Reach style of armor. They still looked like spartans and not like toy soldiers.
Halo 3 Recon. Also, I agree with everyone regarding future armor having a mix between Reach and Halo 3. Plus, review the Halo infinite trailer… the Spartan 5" thigh gap may be gone.
Armor sets that build upon a base set (3, Reach), as opposed to being built around a bodysuit (4, 5).

There’s quite a few IMO. Prefect from 4 would be nice, there’s that Reach helmet that never, ever became a thing and would be cool if it was a thing, I need Wetwork and Venator though. I really love those two.
