Armor: The Right Tools for the Right Jobs

EDIT: Since some of you did not detect the sarcasm, I suppose I will need to say this.

This is simply a ’ Satyre ’ of what Halo could become, if the developers continue to run in the direction they said to their general audience.

I in no way say any of this is ’ Good ', more so I despise any idea of it. This is more to get the community thinking again, and maybe slap some people over the head, making them realize how TERRIBLE an idea this is!

Remember, this whole little thread is a SARCASTIC PUNCH at the current direction the game is going!

In the Gameinformer magazine, Halo 4 edition, they spoke that different armor types wont just be cosmetic, but will also lend different tools.

Through the fact that Infinity missions will be story based, and might have different objectives ( Snipe a high ranking target, Hack a terminal, Sabotage a ship’s drive, Repair a damaged component on the ship, Recover lost artifact, ECT ECT ECT ), I have a feeling each armor will come with certain tools to do these jobs.

For example, there might be a armor that allows x36 Magnification for sniping a extremely long range target.

Or, there might be another armor that will allow you to plant a high detonation charge, able to blow down some of the stronger types of locked doors, and allow you to stay in close proximity to the blast, and survive.

There might also be a armor that comes preloaded with a Smart AI, capable of hacking into advanced ship systems, allowing data extraction, or sabotage on a electrical basis.

Or even a Stealth Based suit, which has a prolonged Invisibility attachment, allowing for a stealth mission to pick off a target up close, instead of sniping it from afar.

These are only a few of my ideas of what may be to come. If any of you have any more, please speak up.

Otherwise, feel free to discuss, criticize, or otherwise flame. I will, as always, strike back in my usual manner of beating you over the head with words you think you use with ease, but rather use like a caveman beating a rock against a stone slab, trying to make fire.

Peace.

Zabuza.

What is this, dumb or what?

  1. 36x scope? You’d think the sniper was a supercannon fired from the Infinity itself.
  2. Preloaded with an AI? Um…We have that already. It’s called MJOLNIR armor. It just doesn’t preload, because that’s technically impossible.
  3. Halo has been about having fair starts. I’m ok with armor abilities and weapons, but if this happens, it will be far too different from Cod.

As stupid as this may sound, I’m just shooting off what it might be like. My ideas may be ’ Dumb ', but I speak what I think.

It is either that, or I was attempting to wildly ’ Troll ’ this forum, seeing what I could cause.

Hmmmm…

I hope Halo 4 isn’t too CODified… other than that I think I’ll enjoy the campaign and exploring the maps.

I must agree that I hope it is not ’ CODified '. I’m just saying what possibly could come from the ideas that they are currently running with.

Terrifying, really. The multiplayer was fine until they started adding on all these bloody extras. I miss my overshield floating phase bubble pickup…

Check the top area of the thread. You did not detect it the first time around, so some big letters might help.

I don’t think a 32x scope would be feasible. Extended cloaking systems I can understand. The High Det charge would mean you would be wearing EOD, but because of that, you would have less grenade/rocket/fuelrod/etc damage done to you in matchmaking. I would like to see an armor that increases sprint duration, or speed. Spartan-IIs could reach 60kph at full run, Spartan-IIIs, not so much. (gets you thinking, if chief was already fast, and now this bit of info comes up, you should have been going faster then tanks with the stick tilted fully.) I would like to see recon give the Tracker jammer so that way you know the general area, but not the exact location. (he would still be visible)

Can’t say perks or “specializations” like these would surprise me. From some of perks I’ve seen they don’t look too far off to be honest.
