Armor texture and body physics.

I hope that in Halo 4 the texture on the Spartan 4s is slightly shiny, not too shiny but obviously noticeable as oppose to Reach’s dull textures. I also hope that the bodies aren’t glued to the floor so when you hit or walk over them once they’re dead, they actually move and make noises when you do so, it just adds to the whole lively atmosphere. What do you think?

I agree.

Its the little things that can make a game worth while.

Like playing with the corpses of our enemies.

I didn’t really mind the dulled and worn Textures Reach used, but I’d much prefer a sleeker shinier look if I had the choice…

And as for the cemented corpses in Reach, I did miss the ability to bash the bodies around, as silly and childish as that can be sometimes…

Me too, to me that is what made reach boring, the dull colors.

Lol, for some reason I agree with you.

About the bodies.

i think the bodies move slightly when you -Yoink!- them… also they’re all responsive to grenades…

I laughed more than i should have at this. You sir, deserve a store of cookies!

I’d love Gears of War body physics for Halo 4.

Haha! god that sounds weird, but so, so true.

Those textures where far more realistic. Just look at our worlds military. It’s all gritty and camo. Keep the shiny textures to the covy’s. They’re a religious militia so it makes more sense for them not to have visually functional armor.

I didn’t mean that shiny, like a gritty and very durable gun metal sheen, shiny but not a foolish sheen. Like chrome.

I just realised, if this happened, then we could probably stack bodies on top of each other… I just thought of the whole 300 body wall XD That would be an awesome strategy. Push a pile of dead corpes on your foes to distract them!

Now that is playing the corpses of our enemies at its finest.

I just really miss the backflips when you BR headshot someone. I’d like to see that return (but also keep the epic Reach animations…)

Also, I think it’s annoying when you throw a seemingly perfect 'nade, only for it to be blocked by a corpse. Especially when you 'nade yourself that way…

Grenades and bullets should go right through corpses. They also should be light, like they were in Halo 3. Melees and grenades would fling them around a bit.

This. Halo is great sci-fi, but it’s AMAZING military sci-fi. The UNSC needs grit and chipped paint. The covies should be all slick and imperial while the forerunners can be perfect (Forerunner paint don’t chip, honey!)

I agrre, except the reach part, i actually like that style more.
