Armor, Tac, and Support canon combo thread.

So, lately I’ve been playing with tactical packages and support upgrades I think would canonically go with each set of armor just for the hell of it.

for example; pioneer, shielding package, and sensor upgrade, or
soldier, ammo, and grenadier.

There is something really fun about this in an RP kind of way, and I would like to know if Anyone else does this and/or has other good combo suggestions.

Its actually really interesting looking through some of the armor descriptions. Mainly the visors, but some of them have things the armor is made for, made to do.

Like, Thruster Pack or Jetpack (probably thrust, I think) with EVA for space. I don’t remember which, but there is probably a visor that is made to help protect and help you see better in space.

Midnight is for Slipspace operations, Solar helps with glare from suns.

Yup, those would work. Depending on what situation.

Realistically, Spartans wouldn’t need a software patch to allow them to pick up grenades from fallen enemies. Most of the perks are just basic Spartan abilities, they’re mostly for gameplay. And if you want to match up all the armors in Halo 4 with their purpose, good luck because most of them have contradicting designs to their alleged roles.

I never really thought of anything like this. I like the soldier idea, though. I can’t come up with anything at the given moment, but something with Pathfinder and Operator armor mods (Wheelman and Gunner)

Link to all armour and armour mods.

How about these?

EOD: Shielding + Explosives

Infiltrator: Active Camo + AA Efficiency + Stealth

Defender: Auto Sentry + AA Efficiency + Gunner

Scout: Mobility + Sensor

Warrior: Mobility + Dexterity

Aviator / Operator: Wheelman + Sensor

Vanguard: Firepower + Dexterity

Venator: Shielding + Dexterity

Edit:

Fotus: Mobility + Ammo

These are really good, though I disagree with scout.
Active Camo + Mobility + Stealth is closer to the description.

i am aware of this, it’s just a thought exercise/ fun way to play the game.
wearing the armor, playing the combat role, identifing your buddies combat roles by glancing at them. just playing halo 4 class based with a party doing the same.
