So I had pre-ordered Halo 4 in May from BestBuy, but cancelled it because I wanted to use another card. So a while later, I ordered it again but they had a poster as a bonus instead of the venator suit thing.
A poster is nice and all, but now I won’t get to have a unique armor style. So the question is are there ways to get these armor styles or weapon skins or is it only through pre-orders from stores? Can a venerator style be unlocked through playing? Thanks!

I think Venator will be available in game to you, but not the Raptor skin for that armor. That is a pre-order bonus. Some weapon skins will be unlocked and available as you progress through the game.
Somewhere down the line the pre-order bonus offers may be made available as dlc.
