I was looking at a video of All the torsos in halo 4 and I noticed right under some torsos it said the names of some armor skins. Are armor skins only allowed for certain helmets and armor? Because I don’t even like hazop I liked the forest skin. And when I was looking at the video only hazop had the forest skin…
Yes, each skin is unique to a specific armor set. IE Forest can’t be used on Recruit, Prime can’t be used on Hazop, and so-on. Generally speaking, each armor set has a default skin and an alternate skin. Many of these alternate skins, as you know, are exclusive to certain retailers/promotions, etc. They can, however, be mixed and matched piecemeal. So if you don’t have a problem with the Hazop chestplate and shoulders, you could still use those with another helmet you like better.

Wow that pisses me off. I liked forest but hate hazop… Now I wish I would of got the Walmart version.

If it’s any consolation, 343 has said they’ll likely make all these things available to everyone later on down the road.

Oh that sounds good. I hope it’s not too long.
Yeah a real unfortunate downside to a good idea (one I personally proposed for HR honestly).
While Forest is restricted for Hazop I hope they either do an update correcting the skin system/limitations OR have other camo skins available to all/most of the other armors in-game.
I hate to sound like the Military-wannabe but to me if you are playing a “military shooter” and you have color customization like skins- it only makes sense to have a full set of camo options on the forefront, and for this reason I’d prefer to use them myself over random (but nice) color patterns.
