Armor Skin Question

I tried my best to find the answer to this, but it’s a rather hard thing to search for. My question is, how do armor skins work? I know that each skin can only be used on it’s designated armor, but that’s just it.

How often does someone wear every single piece of an armor set? Are they tied to the chestpiece, or do we actually have to wear every single piece of the set for it to work? And if not, that begs the question; You can obviously bend the skin to match different legs, arms, and other body parts, so why not make them interchangeable?

I’m not certain but from customization videos i have seen, each piece of armor has a default and some kind of skin. so you can have an armor piece from 5 different sets but the same skin if you unlock it for each armor set.

I think the way it works is the skin is only for a specific set, and you choose the skin for each piece individually. So with CIO for example, you can have the helmet, chest, and left arm with the CIO web skin variant, and the right arm and legs can be other armor variants.

You can choose the skin on each part so you can have the CIO helmet with spider skin but hazop forest chest piece, does that help? Pretty much you can mix and match skins :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, I understand now. Thanks, guys. It didn’t cross my mind that I could put a different skin on each armor piece.

They’re essentially treated as their own permutations, so you can indeed mix and match them.

For example, for shoulders you’d have something like:

Recruit
Recruit(Prime)
Oceanic
Oceanic(Circuit)
Gugnir
Gugnir(Bullseye)
ect.

And you’d have the same for every other catagory.
