From what I understand as it was stated in the podcast they said that their will be armor sets (like Elite’s in Reach) but no direct customization like Halo Reach. If this is true I think it is an awful idea and makes no sense to me. I loved how each person was different in Reach because of so much customization. Now we are taking a step back into less customization that there was in Halo 3? That makes no sense to me at all. Im pretty pissed…
PS: Im not a Halo 4 complainer I think the game is looking amazing. This armor thing is the only thing making me mad.
You may still be able to mix and match. They said you unlock armor sets. So who is to say if you unlocked scout and rogue armor sets that you cant mix them.

I really hope your right. I really hope we dont have to wear the default armor that is in the RVB videos because that looks god awful.

I, for one, am actually kinda relieved about this. I’m always so nit-picky when it comes to choosing armor. I seldom play 10 consecutive games with the same armor set, so it’s nice to know that I won’t be constantly killing myself over not having the perfect armor combo.

Good point! I am like that too. Maybe if they have tons of armor sets then it would work. But im talking at least 30+

Reach has armour “sets” as well, same as Halo 3. I seriously doubt that there is any way that these could not be mixed. Your reading far to much into the words. The armour is designed set by set, Security, Commando etc. then the player is left to combine.

I dont think its the most important part of the game at all but I think its a cool feature that makes the game more fun.

LoL “fun” this word is so annying. I dont see anything fun in getting new clothes for my barbie doll. People want that important dev time goes into an useless part for a game. People screaming moar and moar. If u want RPG like barbie doll features, then pls play an RPG.

Does anybody have a link to what hes talking about, i really enjoyed the customization in halo, individuality is crucial to the imersion in the game,i hate how in COD or most shooters your just some generic dude, i like being an individual even in a game.

I dont see why this is such a problem. If you dont want to customize your spartan the you dont have to. I just thought it was a cool and yes “fun” (video games are for fun) feature. Im sorry if this makes you poop your pants.
he probably means like you will unlock the Recon set; shoulders, helmet, chest etc etc. Then you can take, from all the pieces from the sets uve unlocked, and customize ur spartan in any way ud like
They mentioned unlocking armor sets, that’s it.
