I can’t be the only one who is really dissapointed in the armor selection we have in Halo 4. I mean, what the heck were they thinking?
There was not more than a couple shoulder and chest armor permutations that looked halfway unique. They all look like slightly tweeked versions of the same exact style.
> > There shoulders, how many variants can you really have?
>
> A lot. That also reminds me: They have NO returning chest or shoulder pieces from any of the Halo games. WTF
Dude there is over 30 different armor permutations. There is something you can find. how are you basing this off of a half blurry video and the guy cycles through the armor like its a rulette table. Any ways. there is something you iwill find that oyou like, and another thing, There are armors that returned like the Recon, EOD, etc. And plus another thing, they went to a different art style, Halo did that every time they came out with a new game.
Personally, Space > Quality > Quantity.
Hopefully the next game, they will have more quality armor bits than they have right now, but right now, they have so much in the game that takes up space, which limits how much armor they can have.
Plus, it’s too late to add armor, the game goes gold in a week, not enough time to add a ton of new armor models, textures, bump maps, lighting maps, detail maps, and put them into the game and test to make sure they work, and that nothing is screwed up and causes bugs, and then fix said bugs.

Hayabusa wasn’t even in reach, so i dont know why it’s a big deal. Bungie Has right to Hayabusa and Security armor sets, and im pretty sure they have more. Anyways, even though 343I has people from bungie doesnt mean they would bring back every armor. And 343 has designed the armors in Halo 4 to be more practical, to seem like people would actually use it in real life situation.

Actually, Bungie doesn’t own the rights to Hayabusa, the creators of that one Ninja game does. can’t remember name.

I was not talking about a lack of armor. I was complainging that they all look the same -__-

All I can say is, Welcome to the military, sometimes -Yoink- looks the same with slight differences in looks.

Whether or not you deem Halo 4’s armory “quality” is completely subjective. I like the armory items, you don’t. Doesn’t mean they lack quality, not to mention the larger the quantity, the higher the chances there’s something for everyone.

I understand that Bungie doesnt own the rights to Hayabusa armor, but they own the rights to put it in their game, aka H3, which after that they didnt’ have it anymore. And the Ninja game is Ninja Gaidan, even though i’ve never played it, and the devs are Team Ninja. They do not look all the same, for them too look all the same they would have to be identical, stop over exagerrating. H4 has a lot of armor to choose from, most of the stuff you wont even use like myself, Cause most people just find they pieces they like and use them. You’re making a big deal out of nothing. You’ll probably end up getting the game and seeing a lot more armors that you like then you previusly thought. Just relax and calm down. Everyhing will be alright. And im pretty sure there is something in the armors that you like.

The Marines have to use Navy stuff, so they don’t have much in unique equipment.

Actually, they get their own gear. We just transport them around.
I agree man… There are lots of armors which is good, but then they are all either really generic looking or they look awful. I mean look at Pioneer… what on earth were 343i thinking? Its possibly the ugliest thing in Halo, but then it turns out its just one of many ugly things. Engineer, Wetworks, Commando(!!), War Master, Oceanic… disgusting armors.
I’d prefer to have quality over quantity. A few really great looking helmets rather than a lot of ugly uninspiring ones. They have no character.
It’s a shame that we don’t get Mk V, ODST, CQB or any of the great helmets from Reach like Mk V or the original Commando. Instead we get the H3 Scout helmet thats been stretched and morphed into something else, the only helmet I like is Recruit.

Dat paragraph is right. seriously you can find an armor or two you like and stick to it. Just cause you dont like any of the other 28+ armor sets doesnt mean the rest of us dont.

Yes, but how different is the Marines vehicles and aircraft from army? How about some the aircraft used by all of the branches? And personal weapons? Not a whole lot of differences other than color or markings in most cases.
