Does anyone have any info on the armor perk “Regen”?
Also, has 343 given us any info on regen, or is everyone just assuming that it recharges shields?
Maybe Regen instantly recharges your AA or Sprint.
Because, it seems to me that there is no info on Regen at all.
But hey, let’s make this thread more interesting.
What do you think Regen does? Even if there is no info, guess.

I was thinking faster regen on shields, which would’ve been crazy. I never though of faster regen for sprint or other AAs. That’s a more reasonable function. That might be what it is.
I believe Killa KC (person who playtested Halo 4) was saying that the Regen modification made you regain shields like 5% faster than normal. He said that it was such a small advantage, that it was hardly noticeable anyway.

I told myself I wouldn’t say “that sucks” about a new feature in H4 until I played it. But a perk where your shields (or anything else for that matter) recharge faster PHREEKING SUCKS!
I think a Mechanic AA would be better like you could repair a mongoose in 20 sec depending on damage a warthog in 40 sec and a tank would take like a minute with two guys working on it.

That doesn’t make me feel better. It’s still unbalanced. I kept my mouth shut with Reach’s AA’s, and when they announced that they would be in H4. This has me disappointed.

I wouldn’t say crazy. If that’s what it is there will likely still be the normal delay between losing shields and when they start to recharge. This will speed up gameplay, as more ppl (on avg) will be in the action at any given time.
I’m thinking that the time needed out of combat for your shields to recharge is lessened.
I like this idea because you can die just as fast as anyone else.
If it gets too heated you can dip off for a second and hold your own again when your shield comes back online.
I haven’t thought of it being tied into your AA being recharged faster. That is a really good point. It also makes sense in a battle movement sort of way.

how does it suck? it wont effect gameplay too much, if youre fighting someone and their shields go down, it wont matter that it regenerates a little faster, because theyll be dead by then. It seems more for use when taking cover from enemy fire.
Omg…I hate AA’s so much that I just realized equipment is infinitely better. Not only did equipment encourage teammwork like throwing down regens/bubble shields for you’re teammates and putting them on chokepoints before PW’s came up, BUT YOU COULDNT -Yoinking!- SPAM THEM!! They had to be used STRATEGICALLY, They didnt OVERPOWER the game like AA’s do, they ADDED to the game. Halos balance is just so out of whack now, Im just hoping for ranked playlists at this point where I can hopefully play non-gimmick Halo.
