A bit of additional advice from personal experience. I know it is required to have a Hardrive for Waypoint to read data from, otherwise armors and some data from Halo: Reach and Halo 4 will not be updated on Waypoint.
Halo 4 is sometimes glitchy where even if you have a Hardrive, the data for your Spartan-IV’s armor will not update after changing armor. When this occurs, a solution I found is to switch it to something else, play a game of matchmaking, and then switch it to what you want and play a game or two of matchmaking. This resolved this problem for me on two occasions, so if you have a hardrive, try this and it the problem should fix itself. If not, post here that you are still having issues.
If you do not have a Hardrive, that would be your problem and you will need to get one in order to have your data update on Halo Waypoint. I hope this helps.
hard drive had a problem with it, forgot about posting this, fixed it a few months ago, thanks anyways tho!
