Armor Mods Permanent in WarZone

Honestly my stomach couldn’t handle seeing the permanent armor mods for WarZone when they talked about the REQ Cards from 17th’s update. I didn’t necessarily like Armor Mods in Halo 4 because it hurt the balance of equality in every Spartans starts (Even though we were all given Loadouts which I also didn’t like). Should these be permanent for us to choose from on spawn or should they be single use like almost everything else in WarZone because honestly I think I might be okay with spawning with one every single life but I’d like your guys opinions on this subject.

The req card stays in your deck permanently… But the effects of it aren’t permanent.

you still have to achieve the appropriate in-game req level AND spend energy to utilize the card in a Warzone match…

so no, you won’t be accessing this right at the beginning of the match, since it costs energy, you’ll have to choose carefully when you equip it.

This is my early guess: it’ll cost similar points/energy to loadout weapons, so in most cases, you’ll want a weapon that has a better chance at netting you a kill if anything lol

Okay thanks guys for clearing up some of my confusion! I thought it would be just like the starter weapons and be there for every life but at least now I know.

I’m hoping the effects vanish after a death and then you’ll have to re-use those points again to get it back. Either way, I think I’d go for weapons/vehicles other running faster or holding more grenades more often than not personally

You more than likely will. From everything I see in the latest footage, both beta and pre-release versions, when they die they start from scratch.

Another classic case of hyperbole and jumping to conclusions, two abilities in which this community excels at.

I wad actually wondering the same thing

I was going on the assumption that the Armor Mod cards were like Titanfall’s Burn Cards; single-use and lasted till you died.

If this is the case, I don’t have a problem with it.

I’m wondering why there are so many people that don’t seem to understand this even though everything has been explained…

This is absolutely the case.

If you haven’t already, I would suggest reading my “REQ System and Microtransactions Explained” thread. There is a section near the top about persistent (sometimes called permanent) and single-use cards, and what those terms actually mean.

Permanent/Persistent does not mean that the effects of the card are permanent, it just means that the card is not consumed (deleted from your REQ inventory) when you use it, so it can be reused again in the future without having to get another one.
