How will all this new DLC armor and skins work for people without the DLC? Will I be force matched with people that only have it or will 343i release some sort of pack that allows you to see the DLC items without using them?
I am kind of hoping that it will the forced option since that will finally match me up with players that have the DLC, giving me the opportunity to finally play what I payed for unlike the current map packs.
I imagine there will be an update when the DLC launches to remedy that. I’m just guessing though.

For the uninitiated, “compatibility update” is a euphemism for saying that the DLC will be patched into everybody’s game, but you have to pay if you want to use it. Without buying the magical DRM ticket, you will be able to watch others use what you already have but aren’t allowed to use.
