Armor Equipment

For Halo 4, I believe 343 should take the abilities you know and love/hate from reach and make them like equipment, as in:
Temporary use, varied by ability
Picked up on the map
Does not change your spartans appearance
Will not take over classic Halo gameplay

Given that you still have the option in custom games to create loadouts and define equipment usage, Reach’s amazing latitude for customization can remain alongside good ol’ fashioned gameplay reminiscent of Halo 3. I believe that while Reach’s armor abilities are great additions to the formula, starting with them and retaining them throughout a match diminishes the multiplayer formula we all know and love.

I personally prefer the Halo 3 equipment innovation to the armour abilities incorporated into Reach. By introducing a myriad of equipment types into Halo 4, 343 would ensure that armour abilities do not become too dominant a gameplay feature. It is my understanding that the original aim of equipment was to supplement, and not significantly augment, gameplay. However, I do believe that a mechanism should exist whereby the player has access to a sprint feature; not dissimilar from that depicted in Reach.
