Should armor effects return to Halo? If yes, what are some new ones that can be introduced? If no, why?
If they do come back, I think a new one should be Grunt blood. If it isn’t self-explanitory enough, basically when you get injured you bleed out Grunt blood.
I think that they should stay AND that there should be flames avalible for, say, 1,000,000 cR BUT you can change the colour of them E.G pink, yellow, black, blue, red, green etc.
Another one could be ‘Flood Death’ (when you die you body turns into mini-floods and scatters off to the edges of the map were they explode (non-harmfully) ) 750,000 cR?
Also lowering the cost of inclamite weather and pestilance would be nice.

I dont think they should release the Legendary flames. It completely dismantles a huge reason people went for the Leg. Edition. Secondly, everyone had the opportunity to get the Blue Flames with more than enough time for free.
On the Grunt/Flood death, the animation for the Flood thing would be a bit of a stretch I think. Grunt blood would just be the Pestilence death. It’s green blood is all.
Lowering the prices of any armor would be defeating as well instead of EARNING the credits for 'em. I enjoyed the grind to get my Pestilence. It took willpower to not spend those credits on other things I wanted.
I think they should leave the cost of everything alone it took forever to ge IW. I still have about 650,000 to get pestilance.
That’s the last thing I can get and I’ll have my 100% for the armor.
It will most likely take at least another month befor I get it.
If 343 ever changed armor costs it would be unfair to people who have already purchased said armor. I think 343 will add pieces of armor to the armory equalling 10,050,000cR (the amount that you have nothing to buy between eclipse and inheritor).
If you want AAs and cR to stay, Reach is obviously your first Halo game. No AAs shouldn’t be in Halo 4, not even sprint (double beatdown crap makes it too easy to get a kill)
343i needs to base the Halo 4 multiplayer on H2/H3. If they base it off CE we will get another Reach.
No cR system, earn your rank through your skill not playtime (H2/H3 1-50). Halo is a game of skill and it should stay far way form other games like CoD.
If anything 343i should be listening to Halo veterans, not kids who experienced Halo first through Reach.
The Halo 4 Multiplayer should be nothing like Reach.
I don’t see much harm in them returning. I don’t use them myself much, but I do get a good snicker out of seeing somebody trying to sneak around with inclement weather or flames.

This thread is about effects not AA’s. For example, flaming helmets, birthday party, etc.

Being a “veteran” doesn’t always make you the ones who decide where the franchise should go. That’s up to the devs and creators. I’ve been playing Halo since CE first dropped. Not much online til Halo 3 but regardless, me and many like me adore the gameplay and additions to Reach. It’s called evolution and it was bound to happen sooner or later. And quit using the “skill” argument. Skill should really only be involved in the MLG or “Pro” game types b/c no matter how you slice it, it’s a Video Game. It’s meant to be fun before it’s competitive. Get that straight.

Several things you got wrong:
The Military rank is never meant to be a measurement of skill. Even Bungie themselves said so when they first introduced it. To say it’s a measurement of skill shows you don’t know what you’re talking about in regards to the systems used.
No one likes to do crazy achievements that deviate away from their playstyle. I don’t want to get in a mongoose and spend half the match in last place if I want to unlock a set of armor I find upon unlocking that it is something I don’t want.
Adding"prizes" to ranks gives players an incentive to cheat. That’s something neither the Devs, or the players, want to endure. Unless they’re going to plan on having a team dedicated to monitor player activity, that’s not the route we’ll be seeing.
The Cr. system is (mostly) fine. They need to make the trueskill system actually do its job, and get fairer matches going. Taking out a system that is working as intended, and replacing it with unlocking achievements that require luck more than skill is not the right way to go.
