What’s the process to get a refund on purchased armor kits since the armor effects cannot be enabled on them?
I had the same question, as it was not clear that “Kits” cant be customized 
Really disappointing.

Well kits are there to make you look like an exact replica of a specific spartan, so it makes sense that you can’t have effects on
Kits are kinda pointless, seeing as you can just recreate the Spartan with individual armor pieces anyway. Like you can make Carter in his entirety with all his gear on your own and then put the armor effect on it.
May as well just give the ability to put the armor effect on the kit as well.

But you can’t, a shoulder piece of his for example isn’t anywhere to be found, same with Emile’s shoulder piece with the knife on it. They’re nowhere to be found in the battle pass whatsover.
Does the kit have his backpack?
Although I hate the colored armor for team games, I was digging the black/gold Spacestation setup, so I purchased it. You can’t apply those colors anywhere else, so I’m not quite sure how I’d reproduce the appearance. I was highly disappointed when I found out the armor fire effects can’t be applied. It doesn’t seem to make sense.
