Indeed I agree

i would love of halo to go back to that

Yeah I want them in Halo 5

I never used them but wouldn’t mind seeing them come back.

But, I do agree that it should have the ability to be seen or not seen by other player’s too keep everyone happy. My only problem is if they released these effects they’d either be paid for or get thrown into the already massive req pool. :frowning:

If released in Halo 5, or maybe 6, hopefully there is a REQ pack for them like the Voices of War, except you can buy it with REQ points.

I like the armor effects from Reach. Them returning would add a lot of variety to H5’s customization.

Another way to make armor effects more worthwhile would be to make them visible on your spartan profile in the menus. That way you as the player can admire your armor effects just as you do with your stance and loadout skins.

Well i’d argue stances are useless (esp the first year of halo 5’s launch, since only you really ever saw them, and even now, only you really see them).
My problem is this cosmetic can mess with the appearance of game, like the stupid hearts from halo reach, I really didn’t appreciate cartoon hearts appearing after I killed someone, it was kind of jarring since it didn’t fit really well with the rest of the game.

Besides the fact that there’s no more flaming sculls ):

YES. Bring them back

Maybe in custom games there should be an option for this but it would just be annoying on ranked multiplayer especially when your losing I don’t know maybe I take it too serious

I just loved how you could make your own combination of armor from helmet to shoulders to torso. I liked the armor effects as well. They were just the coolest thing to me. So the question is: Why can’t a feature like this be in Halo 5? Do they not like it, or is it just because of some other reason? Was it hated by many players and 343 decided not to add it? Many questions lay in my mind about this. I don’t know about you guys, but Maaaaaaan… do I want a sick skull, birthday party, or inclement weather effects on my Halo 5 set.

It is not canon so therefore 343 will not put it in the matchmaking

I miss the armor effects like the flaming helmet, but I’m just as disappointed at the lack of armor combinations like the ones you mention. Halo 5 (and 4) have been a real step backwards in personalizing your armor as a player. It’s like they didn’t understand how much people invested in striking a unique look for their spartan. Or, maybe, they just lacked the programming ability to pull it off – that certainly seems to be an increasingly credible explanation for some of the shortcomings of the game (lobbies, etc.).

They could give away players positions. Although guess if you don’t want that risk don’t use them.
Liked the ones like the flaming helmets and hearts/confetti when you die. Inclement weather and pestilence were cool, but a little to much for me.

Honestly, Halo 5 doesn’t need any other add-ons. If anything 343 shouldn’t bother with any other content for Halo 5, since what they need to be focused on are features for Halo 6. Would love to see full armour customization with effects and what not in Halo 6 though.

Completely agree. I would of preferred 20 quality armour sets, helmets etc. than 230+ with only about 4 good options…

I think halo is awesome best game out there USA!!!
