hi

i feel like it could possibly be too much to handle if you have 30 people with different armor effects running around and shooting each other, it would just add more useless stuff for the sever to keep track of, but it would be cool.

A while back i suggested purchasable cosmetics as a way to give REQ points a bit more longevity after having unlocked everything. Some of the potential items were armour effects similar to reach as well as some other cosmetics specific to reach. The katana from H3, and so forth. It was shot down however

I don’t know, I felt like Armor Effects weren’t very necessary. It felt Super-Extra to me.

I just loved how you could make your own combination of armor from helmet to shoulders to torso. I liked the armor effects as well. They were just the coolest thing to me. So the question is: Why can’t a feature like this be in Halo 5? Do they not like it, or is it just because of some other reason? Was it hated by many players and 343 decided not to add it? Many questions lay in my mind about this. I don’t know about you guys, but Maaaaaaan… do I want a sick skull, birthday party, or inclement weather effects on my Halo 5 set.

I think it would be dope to have armor abilities. My favorite was the flaming helmet or grunt birthday party. I currently use the flaming helmet.

I think 343 probably decided to change the multiplayer completely since bungie made Halo: Reach.

I wouldn’t like them to return…They never actually made sense and with 343 pushing for a multiplayer that is LORE FRIENDLY…Doubt it is going to return…I never actually liked them…Just something expensive to make your spartan look even more crowded…And it really didn’t fit in with the griddy artstyle.

They ought to make new armour effects though, maybe a caricature comic type effect emanating from your spartan when you die (like grunt birthday, but with mister chief, and spartin lock)

It’d be pretty sweet to have effects back, but i don’t think they’d really work well with how req packs work

i want that grunt birthday effect to come back, maybe in future games we would see that =)

why would you post thus links here?

> Well, since 343, the multiplayer is canon now. So no more armor effects, as they are not realistic. Only pizza skins. /s

But the MP is basically in a simulation so that argument is pretty invalid.

> Dude face it the majority of people on Halo Waypoint these days are anti-classic Halo/Reach. I am not one of these people as I saw Reach as the last great Halo game. I loved the Forge, the multiplayer, the abilities, yes even the loadouts. I also really enjoy the armor effects, I find the flaming helmets to be the best, but not exactly the easiest to get a hold of. I’ve missed the Halo titles that used to be all around fun. All I see now is either all casual, or all competitive, that’s not good either way. The lesser of the two evils though is definately all casual, as you can play a casual game competitively, but you can’t play a competitive game casually. But yeah I wouldn’t mind if Armor effects came back, hell I’d welcome them back with open arms, they couldn’t be worse than the white bird doodie on my armor skins.

Actually, most Halo fans that are new to the franchise (meaning Halo 5 is their first halo) after questioning some of them, most agree that more customization like in reach or 4 would be better instead of helmets, visors, and sets. I’ve heard a few even say what we already know, it would help us be unique as armor combination is way better than what we have now.

Maybe they are gone because it’s so hard to get them. You had to have SO MANY DAMN CREDITS to buy them! Maybe 343 isn’t sure how to price them Ingame.

I think that armor effects would be awesome like the one form halo reach
