Oh dude I freaking love Armor Effects. They were awesome in Halo Reach. I never was able to get Inclement Weather, but I had Pestilence and I thought it was great. Armor Effects made our Spartans looks more unique and we had our own little identity. Halo Reach’s customization and options were the best in the series by far. It’s a shame how we don’t have the same level of customization in Halo 5. I pray it returns in Halo 6. Armor Effects included.

I like halo 5’s multiplayer only but one of the many things I hate about it is the lag and u take damage when ur weapon gets shot

Yeah they really looked weird and didn’t really fit with the game.
Maybe as a side option for custom games, but not a main feature or have any real importance.

I mean, the armor selection is not important. Nor are the stances. So how are they any different?
It’s all just for looks. You don’t get buffs from it. All cosmetics.

Yeah a side-option for custom game sounds nice instead of having us grinding credits or packs.
nah I wouldn’t want that because they are just annoying. Either do it like they did them in halo 3 or don’t do it at all. Halo reach abilities were kinda dumb, and this new smartscope and weird movement system they got going on is awful.
Haha, I would like to see the good old HALO REACH style coming to halo 5, I miss seeing the odd love hearts fly out of people when you shoot them down.
the jet pack was fun for a little bit, but I don’t think these abilities have a place in halo. maybe in forge…
I loved the armor effects, especially the blue lightening one

I just loved how you could make your own combination of armor from helmet to shoulders to torso. I liked the armor effects as well. They were just the coolest thing to me. So the question is: Why can’t a feature like this be in Halo 5? Do they not like it, or is it just because of some other reason? Was it hated by many players and 343 decided not to add it? Many questions lay in my mind about this. I don’t know about you guys, but Maaaaaaan… do I want a sick skull, birthday party, or inclement weather effects on my Halo 5 set.

But 343 say whit no more armor effects in halo
I didn’t like armor effects, maybe in a gamemode or something separate from the main gameplay because it feels tacked on.
Halo 6 is going to have to step up the options on this because Destiny blew them out of the water.
I’ve read through most of this thread and I’d personally love too see Armor effects make a return. But, I do agree that it should have the ability to be seen or not seen by other player’s too keep everyone happy. My only problem is if they released these effects they’d either be paid for or get thrown into the already massive req pool.
Saying all this Halo Reach is my favorite and I wish the multiplayer style would return
I was rocking the flaming helmet since day one and it made me feel badass. But as time went on it just became dull.

Yeah for example in provin gronds
Yes please, i really like the way reach has them
They were cool at the time but I think now I wouldn’t want to see them return.
I enjoyed the diverse customization.

They added an additional layer of strategy, however this is debatable as many people felt that they took away from the competitiveness, again, especially armor lock. It also was a huge change from Halo 3 and people can have a hard time with that. Especially armor lock.

Lol, yeah. I realized I got the two mixed up after reading other peoples post. Oh well. I still stand by my comments. I did admit my mistake later, and then talked more on the armor effects. Those I liked and would like to have back. I would also like emotes in the game, so that when I am capturing a base I can taunt people or dance.
Always though Inclement Weather was cool, but it made any attempts at stealth difficult. To a lesser degree Pestilence was the same. I don’t mind death effects.
