Armor Effects Like Halo: Reach?

Inclement weather was awesome.

I loved the armor effects. That’s what actually got me to play more to earn points.

The Reqs are ok. You complete a game, you get Reqs. Yeah right. Some times when I complete a game of Warzone, Social Or Arena I don’t get any packs at all. It seems like you have to be one of the top players in each game just to get Req packs from each game you are in. Sorry about that. Forgot this page was about The Halo Reach Armor Effects.

It is impossible to play Grifball without getting booted for killing teammates by mistake. And find way to deal with spawn campers in Grifball. It sucks the fun out of it.

The Warzone struggle is real

I don’t think the armor effect is bad, especially the birthday party, I don’t mind if it comes back.

The armor effects were alright but I prefer the old deliberate movement. It’s the Halo I know and love the most. Feels a lot more competitive aswell.

My bad. Wasn’t too big of a fan!! I prefer to leave that alone and also take out the armor abilities as well.

Yeah I would love to see the armor effects back! I loved them in reach!

Armor effects allways stood out to me in a bad way, its like your trying to hide from a sniper but you have a massive flame on your helmet or hiding in the corner waiting for someone to pass by yet you have a thunder storm with lightning covering ur face and becoyse it stands out you can be seen easily.

However, some may even argue that this is a two way street as it may intimidate less experienced players. Flaming Helmets intimidation anyone.?

Honestly I think armor effects have their pros and cons. A pro would be duh they look super lit. Halo 5 could have made so many amazing effects with the graphics they have now. We could have even had flood effects or different colored flames like in Halo: Reach. An easy con would be that depending on the effect, it can make you allot more visible. Like if you had the blue flames on your head, and you were on a sniping game mode, it would be easy to see your head. If these were in Halo 5 I think it would be a cool feature at a cost.

I think it all depends on how they introduce the armor effects like, are they in the req packs, or are they commendation awards, or are they limited time offers. I’d be fine if they came back in req packs for a decent price, I’m fine grinding for a sweet reward like that.

The only real armor effect that I was a big fan of was the flaming recon helmets in Halo 3, everything else since then hasn’t really stood out to me that much.

Loved My Electricity going around my Character

Here’s my problem with this statement: Why would you wear the effect in the first place if you are looking to hide? No one said you MUST wear it at all times. It’s purely the player’s choice. It’s the choice the player makes , understanding it’s their problem if they die easy.

Meh

the do nothing but i’d like to get 1

I loved the armor effects to but armor abilities do not fit in that well. If 343 did put the armor effects in a later update that would be great! I hope to see that later in a update.

I personally would not use them if they came back, but wouldn’t care if they did.

I personally rocked the Red Flaming Helmet for most of Halo: Reach because I purchased the Legendary Edition, which was probably the best Halo Legendary Edition I have purchased to this date. I do, however, miss my Inclement Weather I wore during the later stages of my Reach days, but I’m not sure they fit into the multiplayer lore that 343 Industries has worked tirelessly to establish.

Wow. 3 months and this topic is still in the featured section.
