Armor Effects Like Halo: Reach?

No Idea why it was removed, but I’ve been asking for Reach like armor customization since day 1
At this point, little hope is left.

At least armour customisation has a good reason why it’s there unlike armour effects.

I dont use “gimmick” in my comments commonly unless I think it’s a device for attention.

I personally would love to see the return of the customization to the full body & would like to see them incorporate the abilities again. Even if it is just to campaign and firefight

Honestly the best game when it came to Halo customization

Okay your correct. If you couldn’t play FPS games and sucked super bad, then maybe Armor Lock was your only saving grace.
But in any matching in reach, it was just an annoyance. An ability that can just stop all battles and all damage to you is plain annoying. No other words
If someone honestly sucked and thats the only thing that made them better, then im fine with it because as soon as they (eventually) come out of armor lock, I can still kill them if someone else hasnt killed me by then.

What would be cool if when the confetti falls to the ground but it doesn’t despawn. Then when you run over it you slip and fall.

JK JK. I don’t want them to return. But there should be a COMPLETE armor customization. Helmets, visors, back armor, shoulders, chest, legs, butt pad, boots, HELL even let us customize our Ball bag armor.

> Dude face it the majority of people on Halo Waypoint these days are anti-classic Halo/Reach. I am not one of these people as I saw Reach as the last great Halo game. I loved the Forge, the multiplayer, the abilities, yes even the loadouts. I also really enjoy the armor effects, I find the flaming helmets to be the best, but not exactly the easiest to get a hold of. I’ve missed the Halo titles that used to be all around fun. All I see now is either all casual, or all competitive, that’s not good either way. The lesser of the two evils though is definately all casual, as you can play a casual game competitively, but you can’t play a competitive game casually. But yeah I wouldn’t mind if Armor effects came back, hell I’d welcome them back with open arms, they couldn’t be worse than the white bird doodie on my armor skins.

I just wanna customize my ball bag armor.

The confetti was awesome

That’d be something nice but in all honesty, wont happen, most likely we’ll get esports after esports cause halo is NO LONGER just halo, needs to be a championship and MLG, right?

I just loved how you could make your own combination of armor from helmet to shoulders to torso. I liked the armor effects as well. They were just the coolest thing to me. So the question is: Why can’t a feature like this be in Halo 5? Do they not like it, or is it just because of some other reason? Was it hated by many players and 343 decided not to add it? Many questions lay in my mind about this. I don’t know about you guys, but Maaaaaaan… do I want a sick skull, birthday party, or inclement weather effects on my Halo 5 set.

They added an additional layer of strategy, however this is debatable as many people felt that they took away from the competitiveness, again, especially armor lock. It also was a huge change from Halo 3 and people can have a hard time with that. Especially armor lock.

Do you speak of Armor “Abilities” or Armor “Effects?”

Armor effects are cool but in necessary

yea ur right in some way but i like armor lock because if someone tries to ran me over i can use it and the vehicle explodes

I really liked my lightning affect but I kind of would like to keep it in Reach only. I don’t have a desire for it in Halo 5. Now Haunted on the other hand…Haunted is wanted.

I could take em or leave em. They aren’t necessary… but then again neither are pizza skins. I’d rather have them over pizza skins. :stuck_out_tongue:

I do not like the armor system of Halo Reach, it is quite complex and because of this only the addicts manage to get the best designs, prefer or the Halo 4 and 5 in doubt.

I’m the reverse. I don’t really care either way, but I’d prefer the food-themed skins over armor effects.

Hehe fair 'nuff, to each their own.

While obviously they did nothing, I do agree that they were a nice touch. I enjoyed them and wouldn’t mind seeing the possibility of having them on H5, but the lack of them does not bother me.

If this is the case, then the only thing Halo 5, 4, and Reach should of had was a default set of MK Armor. They are all cosemetics. People just want them because they are cool. iyo, though, they aren’t necessary, just for looks.

Ayye that french fry pistol skin is fire tho… I didn’t think the reach armor was all that impressive. Hopefully 6 will out do them all. I like fresh new features. Everyone always wants it the old way… give me new toys…
