Armor Effects Like Halo: Reach?

Yeah…no. Those things took the grind to a whole nother level for guys who just wanted to play the game. If they were gonna be in there, I want to earn them, not grind for REQ points or Credits or whatever, and even then I wouldn’t use them cause a lot of them looked stupid (yes, even the flaming helmets). Just concentrate on having additional wear and tear on our armors and that would be perfect.

> I miss my flaming helmet that said “hey look over here! Guy trying to be stealthy! You better shoot him!” Even though it probably got me killed more times than I realize, it was fun and I would like to see it back. As far as making it cannon, multiplayer is a simulation. They could put a T-rex in multiplayer and get away with it

Eh that was half the fun imo, trying to sneak about with camo even with blue flames projecting from my head xD

And T-rex sounds awesome!

That Grunt Birthday sound is ingrained in my mind. No thanks. Pestilence and the others would be cool though.

I just loved how you could make your own combination of armor from helmet to shoulders to torso. I liked the armor effects as well. They were just the coolest thing to me. So the question is: Why can’t a feature like this be in Halo 5? Do they not like it, or is it just because of some other reason? Was it hated by many players and 343 decided not to add it? Many questions lay in my mind about this. I don’t know about you guys, but Maaaaaaan… do I want a sick skull, birthday party, or inclement weather effects on my Halo 5 set.

Those are pretty fun.

We could technically say the same for customization in general.

(Not that I want too, nor do I care if armor effects are gimmicks, there fun)

Also, gimmick is the new word evertyone is useing I’ve noticed. (No hard feelings, just an observation)

would be cool to see some features from past halo games like halo reach to be implemented into future games such as halo 6

only if one makes me look like pizza

Armor affects don’t do anything positive for you, if anything it just makes you an easier target. In Halo Reach whenever someone had an armor effect it made it easier to spot them which allowed me to pick em off easily. I personally don’t like effects for this reason.

No No No No No No No No No…I don’t want that again as much as i loved reach i don’t armour abilities like Amour lock

I kinda liked armor effects, but with the whole REQ pack thing going on (which I think is actually a pretty good idea, save for a few changes that I would make), it would start to be a bit too much like TF2 (rip) with the Unusuals and crates and whatnot.

On a side note regarding Grunt Birthday Party (which was one of the better effects), we seriously need it enabled for Grunt headshots in Warzone.

I feel like there’s enough different permanent unlocks in the game as it is, and I’m personally not a huge fan of the effects as-is.
Feels unnecessary, at least to me.

I’d like to see then return. A simple toggle to choose whether you see them on other Spartans or not would please both parties, too.

It would really be cool to have the flaming helmet again and the birthday party that would be sooo sick!!!

I missed the armor affects in Halo 4, and 5. I liked Inclement Weather, the flame heads.

I am fairly certain they were disliked by many, especially armor lock. I personally liked them. They added an additional layer of strategy, however this is debatable as many people felt that they took away from the competitiveness, again, especially armor lock. It also was a huge change from Halo 3 and people can have a hard time with that. Especially armor lock.

I realize now that I may have confused armor effects with armor abilities. I loved the armor effects. Wish they would bring them back. Although they did tend to make your head an easier target IMO

I would be really cool if it was in the game, but 343i probably would make it only available in a $10 pack like the voices of war pack.

not really bro

I wouldn’t mind the ones that only activate when you die but I’m not much of a fan of the others. A storm cloud hovering on me with lightning doesn’t really suit Halo to me lol
