some people liked them, some others did not. i personally dont care if they come back or not but a great solution could be adding them and also adding an option to see them if you want
No doubt my favorite effect of reaching were the flames and the party effect, it would be great to put them, the truth never play with my profile, I played with the profile of my brother, but it was great: 3, as I want them to put it In halo 5 would be unique: 3

I really loved the storm effect one haha or the stinky one that way people know I’m either one bad -Yoink!- or a sweaty fat kid.

> I wouldn’t mind to see this customization coming back cause “why not?”. Personally, it’s just a extra cosmetic for the players to use to add their own “personality” to their own spartan (and also yes, it looks pretty cool). Back in Halo 3, people wanted Recon armor and the flaming helmet because it’s so rare to get and it just looks cool. Halo Reach expanded on the customization and had a whole lot more armor and a few more armor effects. A little disappointing to see that the only thing you can customize on your Spartan in Halo 5 was just the helmets and body armor (along with stances, assassinations, weapon skins, etc.). I hope 343 adds more customization features in Halo 6.
Players that only played 343 halo games wouldn’t feel this. They don’t have the nostalgia. Then there are still some 343 halo players that agree. In my opinion, it doesn’t get much better than bringing back classic. (A note to 343)
I love my blue flaming helmet, would love to see it back.
I miss my flaming helmet that said “hey look over here! Guy trying to be stealthy! You better shoot him!” Even though it probably got me killed more times than I realize, it was fun and I would like to see it back. As far as making it cannon, multiplayer is a simulation. They could put a T-rex in multiplayer and get away with it
Ya sure I’d like something like the armor effect to come back. And I’m pretty sure 343 didn’t add it back in because it just wasn’t an important feature in the game and they just didn’t have time.
I turned my birthday party effect off in reach because it got too annoying.
I’ve always appreciated Reach’s armor customization (man it was great); however, we’re talking about particle effects. I fondly remember wearing the blue flames on my head as opposed to the standard fire, and felt like I was super cool (nerdy, I know). Even with this great memory, I can’t really see the particle effects coming back. It just seems rather minor in the face of so many other things that could be done pertaining to customization, but that’s just me.
I wouldn’t mind see armour effects return, just not as extravagant as the thunder storm one. I feel like if the flaming head didn’t project light and the Grunt Birthday one was more quieter from a distance then it’d be cool. Just keep them subtle and small.
I’m not really a big fan of armor abilities, I prefer more even playing ground and armor effects are just for aesthetics so I’d like to see that return.
I hated armor effects and I hope they never return. It was confusing as hell and just looked stupid imo. I would glance at a guy and think his shields were broken but nope he just had that storm effect on.

I mean, it doesn’t have to be Inclement Weather that has to make the comeback. Any ideas for them?

This is a feature I could get behind actually. If you’re the only person to see the effect it wouldn’t break the canon argument in theory,
Yeah I’m good with this idea.

I wouldn’t want any at all tbh. Inclement weather was the coolest by far, but I still hated it. IMO, they were stupid, silly, distracting, immersion-breaking, and didn’t fit with the whole space-marine Spartan vibe. I can go with the pizza skin because you’re the only one who sees it (as long as no one picks up your weapon), it is distracting, and it can fit canonically…somewhat.
No thanks, they are more annoying than anything.

> Well, since 343, the multiplayer is canon now. So no more armor effects, as they are not realistic. Only pizza skins. /s
Yes
it would be cool to see a return of armour effects
Armor effects were pretty cool in Halo: Reach. It would make since for them to be in war games since it’s a virtual, but it wouldn’t make since if it was in an actual battle.
If they did return, I would probably want all the effects in Halo: Reach and maybe new effects like a blood effect or a fire effect.
Absolutely not. Armor effects were the worst customization idea that could ever go into a halo game. I’m sorry.
