NO. Armor Effects were garbarge precursors to the crappy armor abilities we have now in Halo 5. They were nothing more than extremely annoying gimmicks. I stopped playing reach because it was impossible to get through a game without being spammed by Grunt Birthday Party. I want this game to be serious with gameplay and customization. I get people’s gripes about the pizza skin, I personally don’t use it but whatever. I imagine each spartan has their own unique personality and maybe some are more fun/funnier than others (Like Spartan 1337) so who knows. But no please don’t bring back armor effects. The only thing I ever appreciated were flaming helmets only because they were elusive and really hard to get. Not just anyone could get it, unlike armor effects where you just need to play 50 games and save up. After the first month of reach, literally every player was using one or another. It was so extra and unnecessary.
I miss armor effects in halo but the only one I don’t miss is sprint but I miss the other ones and if they bring back in halo 6 if they ever make that would be pretty cool

If you take shooter games so serious, then go play CS:GO. Don’t ruin the classics or just Halo in general. Armor customization, stances, emblems, etc. They are just as unnecessary as armor effects.
Besides, it’s a fiction-based game. Why would you downers want it so serious and realistic? Does it happen in reality? No, it doesn’t. If the game were built as a nonfiction game, like BF1, then fine, so be it. Until I see covie carriers invading Earth, ancient Promethean artifacts, and ridiculous weaponry, I will gladly be on your side of this argument.
I really just don’t know why some of you guys bring try-hard skills into social or custom games. Ranked matches are 1 thing, but if you take infection seriously, you are probably wasting your time. (Not saying you said this, I am referring to other people)
I miss my Blue and Red Flame :c

Dude Armor Effects were awesome. They gave us our own little identity with our custom armor. No one cares if it’s a gimmick. We all love it because it was fun, interesting and it made us look even cooler. Inclement Weather combined with the Recon Helmet, Grenade Chest Plate, Emile’s Knife and Jorge’s Knee Guards was an amazing combo.

go go go is the best
I think there is a chance that it could spoil gameplay but it would still be fun. I enjoyed them a lot in reach.
Nope maybe include them for campaign

> I loved Halo: Reach when it bought it and started playing for the first time. I saw all these amazing features. I just loved how you could make your own combination of armor from helmet to shoulders to torso. I liked the armor effects as well. They were just the coolest thing to me. So the question is: Why can’t a feature like this be in Halo 5? Do they not like it, or is it just because of some other reason? Was it hated by many players and 343 decided not to add it? Many questions lay in my mind about this. I don’t know about you guys, but Maaaaaaan… do I want a sick skull, birthday party, or inclement weather effects on my Halo 5 set.

For me the more customisation is key. The more of it the better in my opinion. As a kid i wanted to be able to customise and play as pretty much every type of species in the Halo universe even if it was just a basic custom game setting and also use every vehicle. I know it will never come true but at least let us change each armour peace individually and have different variants for that specific piece like Halo Reach did
If 343 implements armor effects would be awesome, it was one of the bests things at Halo: Reach.
Also the inheritor helmet, the one with the skull inside, I still loving that damn helmet.
We must demand to 343 to implement armor effects and the inheritor helmet for Halo 5.
It would revive the game I think.
Halo reach was my favorite game if they incorporate similar game mechanics into newer games i feel like 343 would thrive
make sence, but could be cheaper, as they are a disadvantage…
I feel like there should be some armor effects because i do like how in halo 3 we had the red flaming helmet, and in halo reach it increased the rest of the armor effects with even the eternal flames that i loved so much

I hope so too, I miss the armor effect, blue flame, red flame and the lighting aura
