Armor DLC

I was thinking and why Bungie, nor 343i implemented this for any of the Halo games. Think about it. If you get sick of wearing all of the permutations in the built-in game, you could just download new ones for an appropriate price. I’m not talking about 1200 MS or even 800 MS. I’d say 400 MS. The benefits would be:

Something new for Players.
Old Armor would possibly return.
New Armor for people who want something new.
Profit for 343i.

I just made so we could talk about something else. If it was implemented right, would you buy armor off of the marketplace?

The armor would already have to be “programmed” to work with the maps and other stuff. In other words: Disc-Locked Content. The armor would already have to be on the disc, and I can imagine the problems that might bring.

GoW3.

It was impossible due to the way the Halo games are made. all of the armor, vehicles and weapons are part of the map files. So, releasing Armor DLC would require users to download all of the maps on the disc again. In other words, you’d have to re-download almost the entire game. keep your fingers crossed that 343 fixed this for Halo 4.

not all games are programmed the same.

I think it should be free, or come with a map pack.

If i did pay for it i think it should be multiple sets of armor. Not just single pieces, that would blow.

Also i believe the reason why it wasn’t implemented in Reach was just because that’s the way it was setup.

If 343 wanted to, i have no doubt they could make it possible for DLC armor to work in halo 4.

Other games do it just fine.

i think that is a good idea regardless of the fact of what the others have said, of course i’m not saying that what they said is wrong, in fact i agree with them but being able to buy your own armour would be pretty awesome. They could make like parody armour like from the ones on the videos on youtube. i do like the idea.

from what i heard that Armor actually effects gameplay so if that is true then no we will not be having this as DLC. balance reasons plain and simple.

Armour DLC that worked like other default armours would be fine for me, but as said earlier, Halo 4 is being built off the Reach engine, which couldn’t support Armour DLC.

343i were planning for Armour DLC with the title update but it was cut due to time constraints, so maybe they have plans for it.

well each armor does something different so if they made it copy the default it would almost seem pointless and besides we should start with the armor from the start. dont ecourage 343 to cut armor from the final production and then release it as a dlc.

I’m not going to pay to dress up my Barbie. I’m not a 7 year old girl.

C’mon, can we have an adult manner?

oh im sorry i think he meant he doesnt want to pay to dress up his “action figure”. and i have to agree 100% on that.

So what you’re saying, you would rather have default armor instead of customizing your armor to YOUR preference. Is that what you’re saying? And what if the some armor permutations have similar features to any other permutations?

I think armor should come with the map DLC, and not by itself.

no i think it should be simply done like halo 3 in the sense you already own it. just unlock it then customize. instead of going to the marketplace, paying for an armor. why would anyone pay for dlc for armor only for 800MSP?

It would cost points unless it was like 1 point.

I’d rather we had proper DLCs.

Why people want so much Armor Customization? Man the old Halo1 and 2 days were better. Nobody cared about some stupid armor knee pieces… its so annoying.
Give us some proper mappacks and Spartan Ops missions, rather then some stupid useless armor pieces. Grow up people!
