Is the Beta armory the way it’s going to be in the full game? (Visor, helmet and body only)
Because that would make me pretty sad. I always liked mixing and matching different armor pieces together into something I could call my own Spartan.
I sincerely hope we can customize Helmets, Bodies, Shoulders, Arms, Legs and Visors in the full game.

then that’s another thing 343 royally effed up. Why limit the armor? Its stuff you could probably just code out in like a day. You already have the leg, shoulder, and forearm designs there. Just let us pick the legs, shoulders and forearms. They’re being so unbelievably stupid when it comes to certain things. Between the beta and learning all these things I’m not even excited for Halo 5 now. I guarantee they’re not going to fix custom games again, they’ll screw up the file browser and then they’ll say “we did a great job” because the game will sell well even though within a month or two the population will crash…again and everyone is going to say how bad the game is now because they removed things that didn’t have to be removed/people didn’t want removed because 343 refuses to take any cues from old Halo because they want to make their own Halo game.
Well, if that’s the way they want to act, then fine I wont buy the game, or I’ll buy it used because I refuse to support them anymore. This is what we dealt with for Halo 4 only we hadn’t seen 343’s style yet. We’ve had 2 games and so far they’re both disappointments that could have been easily avoided.
For anyone reading this yes I’m tired and yes I’m mad so that’s why the tone is a little scathing, but seriously that’s the armor customization? We’ve had at least 4 options since Halo 3 and now we get 3 options? Yet sprint has been in the game a shorter amount of time and they fix that, but let customization, customs, and other things that have been in multiple Halo games and they let them fall to the wayside.

It’s a beta. We will most probably have it in the full game. There is no forseeable reason why they should limit it. None at all.

I agree the armor customization was pretty cool
So far nothing is next gen about this.

you’ll forgive me for being a little skeptical as 343 had many oversights in Halo4/the Master Chief Collection is still a mess. There wasn’t a reason for them to plow customs and forge into the ground, but they did it. Same maps with Spartan Ops laughably bad dialogue/repeating levels. It didn’t add anything to the story until episodes 6-10.
Yea its a beta, but I don’t trust 343 at all at this rate, a darn shame since Halo is one of my favorite franchises.

it would be pretty crappy if thats all the customization options they let you change considering every past halo game that has had customization has let you do more. i hope this isnt all they do because that would be severely disappointing.
I completely agree that the customization portion needs to be deeper then what we have in the beta. Being that this is a beta, it’s focus is on gameplay and balancing right now. The customization aspect of any game is a relatively easy piece of design/development. It wouldn’t be surprising if the customization is a little deeper in the final product. If it’s not, I think there will be even more disappointed fans.
i love the game so far…but I think we can all agree there is a lot of work that needs to be done. I’m not completely worried yet, only because this beta was not suppose to focus on the armor, but if they bail out on that simple design aspect…that’s going to shake my confidence a little more.
come on 343i, don’t let us down on this…your fan base loves the armor customization just as much as the gameplay, don’t pull on that thread also, PLEASE!
Unfortunately it would seem that they are planning on shipping the armor customization for Halo 5 as shown in the beta, which sucks. How are we moving literally years backwards in progress?
Hell, since they’re so used to stealing assets from previous Halos, I would be MORE than happy to just have them port Reach’s and 3’s Armories and maybe Halo 4s, and call it a day.
