So why is the armor customization so limited in the halo 5 beta? Honestly even halo 3 had more armor customization then this
visuals are the last thing added to the game. This was to test gameplay and the basic system on a mass scale.

It’s a beta. They’re still a year away from launch.
The beta focuses on gameplay. Visuals and customization are low on priority.
I totally agree with you. Why does 343 not care about the customization? The MCC has awful customization. In my opinion customizing your Spartan is part of the multiplayer. It makes you want to play more to earn more. Halo 4 customization is great and they took that away in MCC. Halo 4 was a hands down great game.
