It seems to me that the customization part of the game could be more expansive. You should be able to combine any armor part or at least any color scheme with any core (except for special kits like from limited time events). Also, the fact that you can’t customize the armor kits (i.e. Kat, Carter, Emile, Jun or Jorge) is kind of a bummer, as there are certain parts that do not come “separately” in the battle pass. I wish 343i would look into this.
That goes entirely against the purpose of the armor kits, and there is a lot more work involved with the coatings than you think there are, especially with new armor pieces and new coatings rolling out on a weekly basis.
Part of the reason the armor looks so good is because each core has a cohesive style. Imagine Yoroi with something from any other set, or it’s own armor without the baggy undersuit to give it foundation. Or how their chest pieces would look on other cores, or how it would use pauldrons from MK VII while the sode rests in the middle of where those begin.
I get your point. Of course it would be pretty odd if you could combine ANY armor piece with any core. But there are some pieces like shoulder pads or knee pads that could really be combined with “normal” cores and they’d still look good. What I’m saying is that we should be able to customize armor cores a bit more freely. At least with the pieces you get inside the battle pass.
The other thing that bummed me out was that some of the coolest armor pieces like Carter’s or Emile’s shoulders do not come as standalone pieces, so you can only use them with the whole kit. That seems to me like narrowing the customization pool a bit. Maybe 343 will release them as individual pieces in the future, but I’m afraid that they will cost more money.
We just got Emile’s left shoulder style added to the game.
And with cross core armor pieces, it’s something that is all or nothing. People would gripe to no end about not having one specific pauldron in any given set or wanting their meme helmet on the samurai gear.
“That goes entirely against the purpose of armor kits”
To sell you the same armor colors several times?
My initial understanding of that part of the post was to have the ability to directly alter the armor kits dedicated to Noble team to anything else.
