The thought of it came to me when I heard about the new features for Waypoint on the Xbox 360. I thought, “Wouldn’t it be great if I could customize my Spartan’s armor on the Waypoint website like I can on my Xbox?” Personally, I think that the possibility of this feature would be a great idea to make my Waypoint experience on my PC/MAC just a lot greater. But maybe that’s just me… <.<
Anyways, that reason I posted this is to get the idea out there, and yenno, get some opinions and thoughts on this idea from other people who may or may not have thought about this idea too. So yeah, any thoughts or opinions on this, let me know, because I’m really interested to see what you guys think about this.
I think this is a brilliant idea, although you’d have to make sure that you couldn’t equip items you hadn’t unlocked. Updating between game and waypoint may cause issues aswell.
It really doesn’t seem as if it would accomplish anything other than giving you the ability to change your armor through Waypoint. That literally seems to be the only reason. If that’s exactly what you were going for then I’d say no.
I just don’t see that helping…anyone.

Actually. It would. While spending time developing this fairly pointless and only described so far as “cool” feature we would be behind on more important things such as Custom Game fixes, Weapon Balance reports/tests, possible future DLC etc.
At the end of the day, compared to the numerous things 343 could be doing this is a pointless feature. ‘Cool’ as it may be, it’s pointless because there is already a perfectly useful way of changing your armor.
But I imagine it would effect the site. That’s a lot of data for all of the people who play. Why put that option on the site when you can already do it in game? It’s not like you can play from your computer.
Does anybody know how to get their halo 4 armor to show up on halo waypoint cause i got halo 4 a few months ago and it still shows the recruit armor even though i have the mark VI armor on.
You can look at your stats and create custom challenges from Waypoint. The latter which can not be done on 360, so why can’t we do this online? You are a genius!
