Armor costumes and not parts

So why did 343 studios choose for a ‘‘costume’’ armor set and not a armor part set?

tbh i prefer the halo 3/reach/4 way of making your own spartan. Its not that bad but wouldnt it be more fun if you could give it a more personal touch?

Anyways! the costume feature aint that bad!

It could be an easy way to try to reduce the memory load. With 24 players, you can have 24 sets of armor loaded at one time, whereas if you had custom pieces, you could in theory have a lot more.

I prefer having the body and helmet to choose. We get more armor sets, bigger variety, and everyone doesn’t have to get overwhelmed by something like OFMG MY ELBOW PADS ARE NOT GOOD. Not to mention in Halo 4, when you mixed up the wrists, shoulders and knees or armors that weren’t of the same set it looked weird. And canonically it just makes sense more for Spartans to wear a full set of armor rather than a mosh pit of pieces. My only problem with the armor is that getting it is completely RNG. I want to try to work for my armor…

Plus, having armor being complete rather than as parts reduces the need to have each piece fit and work perfectly with every other piece. You don’t have to worry about clipping issues and other conflicts, which means you can have armor be more aesthetically interesting and complicated.

Yeah you guys have some points!
