ARMOR CORE PREDICTIONS

So currently we know of three Armor Cores for the Multiplayer -

  • Mark V Bravo - Mark VII - YoroiI for one am hopeful that 343 has learned from their mistake and will allow us to actually wear the armor that Master Chief is wearing in the campaign as an unlockable. It really annoyed me and many others that when you beat Halo 4 or Halo 5, you didn’t get to wear his Mark VI MOD armor. So hopefully we will get to wear the Mark VI Gen-III as an Armor Core in PvP.

But what other Armor Cores might we see available in Halo Infinite? These are my predictions -

  • Mark IV Gen-I - Mark V Gen-I - Mark V Prototype (What Spartans were going to look like back when Halo was an RTS game for Macintosh prior to Microsoft’s buyout of Bungie.) - Mark VI Gen-I - Headhunter (A MJOLNIR Platform designed for Spartan Headhunter Duos. Gen-III SPI Armor if you would.) - Helioskrill - Helljumper (A Gen-III recreation of Edward Buck’s ) - Hunter (A Gen-III recreation of Spartan Locke’s armor) - GUNGNIR - ODST - Prefect - SPI Mk.I - SPI Mk.IIAnyone else have any predictions or expectations?

I made a thread like this not long ago

The one and only thing that concers me is that if im not able to mix and match any and all amours pieces. If certain amours pieces are locked to a set of cores i wont be happy and a lot of people will flip. For example if i want a reach helmet and have a chest be the new halo infinite’s amour and every other piece of amour be different id be so happy. If i want a reach helmet and the only other pieces of amour i can customize can only be from Reach’s amours selection and no other generation of amours ill be very upset.

God Jerome looked sooo sick in the Halo Wars cinematic! I hope they bring that armour in. And they cannot have a halo game without including the ODST core. No way. That is a MUST

That is a fear of mine as well.
If it is that way at Launch, I could see 343 posting an update within a year or more to allow players to mix-and match things such as helmets and shoulders. But the chest attachments, wrist attachments, and utility attachments tend to be more aligned to being specified for certain armor setups.

Honestly Im kind of hoping for less cores and more permutations per core at the moment. If we aren’t allowed to mix and match pieces between cores then having pieces spread over more cores means less overall customization. Less cores with more customisation for each of them gives us more total permutations.

To that end it seems at launch we will probably get 3 cores: mk. 7 Gen 3, reach, and Mk VI (chief’s armor, possiblby halo 3 permutations. With the yoroi core coming in the first event as mentioned. I wouldn’t expect much more than that. Hopefully they keep cores sparse and give them each plenty of options, and add more over time with new cores only coming every few seasons with plenty of their own pieces.

I can already imagine the Helmets and such for the armor. After all, you have :

Its pretty apparent how armor cores are going to work. At minimum its going to restrict chest pieces to a specific core given the chests are more adative to the core itself. Most likely shoulders will be per core as well. Its possible helmets will be though I find those less likely but who knows.

As for the core variants, its prob gen focused. All armors in h5 for example are for 1 core (gen 2) according to pixelflair. With that in mind, I would treat the rest of the armors the same way.

I hope Security gets a whole core to itself. But that’s selfish of me since it’s my main look in H3 and H5 (to this day).

I know some people don’t like it, but I think the Achilles armor is also pretty darn cool, and I hope it gets its own core too.

Plenty of MJOLNIR armor variants need to be made into their own sets somewhat.

  • GUNGNIR - RECON - JFO - CQB / CQC - EOD - EVA - SECURITY - SCOUT - MEMEJust to name a few.

> - ODST Mk.IV Helmet - ODST Mk.IV Armor (far left image) - ODST Mk.V - ODST Mk.VI - ODST Mk.VII - ODST ONI “Nightfall” - Nightfall’s Halo 5 Beta design. - ODST_TAC worn by Ethan Graves - ODST_COMM worn by Marcus Hudson - ODST_HVY worn by Victor Ramos - ODST_DEMO worn by Ava Lang - James “The Rookie” Dante’s Shoulders and Attachment Schemes - Edward Buck’s Helmet & Chest variants - Veronica Dare’s ONI Recon S/1 ODST Armor - Taylor Henry “Dutch” Miles’ Helmet and armor attachment variants. - Kojo “Romeo” Agu’s Helmet and Shoulder variants - Michael J. “Mickey” Crespo’s Helmet, Shoulder, and attachments variants. - ODST Mk.V Variant seen worn by Lance Corporal Sparks of Sunray 1-1 (far right) - ODST SPI Armor (According to “Halo Ghosts of Onyx”, the S.P.I. Armor worn by the Spartan-IIIs was originally an ODST R-&-D project that was cancelled due to costs and insufficient technology at the time. It would be nice to see an S.P.I. model of ODST armor.) - Air Assault of course. - Possibly some new armor assets.

This is a totally rad list, I totally agree
