Alright mate im trying only to stop our community from bickering and arguin like -Yoinking!- toddlers. If we could stop fighting eachother maybe 343 will actually see what the -Yoink- we want and what it would take for this game to be successful.
Well…frick.
One hand, sucks, I don’t like the idea of having skins only. If you could choose color or skins, more open. Or even if its “choose the skin, now choose skin color” fine. Only having skins…kinda bummed.
On the other, the multiplayer IS free 2 play. So you dont even need to buy halo infinite tobplay the multiplayer. Soooo, for f2p games i am more understanding for certian things. As long as we can unlock literally everything through general game play, challenges, and achievements, im fine with them also being available other means. Skins included.

And your plan to do that was to just wade into a conversation that had already ended; tell two strangers to shut up; and to then start swearing unnecessarily? Again, that’s what we have moderators for. If you read through the chain, you’d see I was being civil throughout, and that I was then sassy at the end. I’m not sure what much more I could have done.
343 knew the majority of fans would not support this decision - acknowledging so in their article - and its been made anyway. The decision makers don’t care about us any more than we can pay for their product.

This could get worse. How much do I have to pay per phaeton for Firefight? How much per ONI Scorpion? It is scary to think this situation could be even more disastrous.

lmao this is so incredibly petty and obviously sets a precedent for 343 to go ahead and monetize every last little thing possible.
I’m not a marketing analyst, but personally I’d be ok if they just announced a higher upfront cost to the game near release (with no microtransactions) for both campaign and multiplayer and emphasized how this will help fund their 10 year continuous development plan. I don’t know about you all but I’d save up and pay $100 or even more at release for a working and complete Halo game that’s supposed to last me 10 or however many years. Or if 343’s bean counters thought that would hurt sales/not be enough money I’d even accept a battle pass or some kind of other subscription service.
Honestly when they first announced the game would be continuously developed over that long of a time span, that should have been a major red flag.

halo 3 had 171 million combos. 11 helmets, 2x8 shoulders, 9 chest pieces and 30 colors in three slots. halo reach had even more combinations.

I forgot about those god I miss reach.
I didn’t think it would be that difficult to implement a system identical to Reach in terms of per-piece customization and letting the player choose from a color wheel and color finish to dictate what they wanted their Spartan to look like. Now we have this Destiny-esque coloring system going on which I fear is really going to be time-gated with “exclusivity” being unable to get certain coatings after a certain promotion or event period.
Of course that last part is speculation but I am really having a hard time wrapping my head around having a color wheel available in this game. People have been asking for it for years.
To be honest I was under the impression that the primary/secondary color system was being removed so that you could change the color for each armor piece. Wishful thinking I guess, still hoping though.
