The thing is imo, Coatings should have been an ADDITION to the previous system, not a SUBSTITUTE.
Let everyone have the basic Primary/Secondary/Tertiary color selection, then make coatings an addition to the selection where coatings provide you with new patterns, wear and tear (or lack thereof), camouflage patterns, specific character appearances (such as Noble Team with the little bits of colored trim and stripes) and more.
You’d make coatings infinitely more desirable and grant the previous color selection freedom.
Unfortunately I imagine any huge changes would require a crap-ton of reworking which I dont know that we can afford considering how slow the current content pace is already. Hopefully they hurry up and enable the cross-core for coatings to make them at least a little less painful.

Removing content from the base game so they can sell it off as MT BP via a F2P. The content was also meant to be all earnable in the F2P and people have been annoyed that 343i went against what they claimed.

There’s alot of content and customization options to be earned without buying anything in the shop.
Not remotely true. Hence why I’m barely been interested in playing the game in months. It’s the most restrictive Halo game in the series.

You can think its not true, but that doesn’t change the fact that I probably have over 100 parts unlocked without buying anything from the shop. And once they start getting made cross core the options will only increase.

AND I have barely anything worth mentioning or any hope of getting much content much in the future because of the lack of content with a huge amount of content blocked behind a 2nd paywall but you would know this if you had actually played the game… 
Meanwhile Halo Reach has way more content. To act like it has got tons of content is utter nonsense and you know it. The games lack of content is what killed it for me so don’t pretend like it has because it makes it hard to trust anything you say.

I wish they’d think about incorporating a palette system like Warframe has. I feel like I wouldn’t mind paying for colors to use in customization if I could dictate which colors and where they go.

Haven’t missed a bp, challenge, event or twitch drop unlock since launch. Well over 100 parts. Not really that hard to do, my playtime averages out to 1.1h/day. Not spending my whole life playing either.
The issue is people like you act like the game has NO content when it just doesn’t have enough content that YOU like. Its a BP style game, new content will come out each season, that’s how those games operate.
Their current system isnt bad its locking the colors behind the cores thats the issue. I would love to use some of my pallets on the Samurai armor but cant and it makes me sad.
And people like you act and claim that it has tons of content to unlock and yeh it hasn’t. Couldn’t care less about your play time. Hard to trust anything you claim when you make false statements like that. Halo Infinite unlock system is the bare minimum and you know it. You’re not fooling anyone. Population probably wouldn’t have dropped so much if it actually had much content that you try to exaggerate. It’s gone from over a quarter of a million to barely 3.5k on Steam…so don’t pretend like it has enough content or this game wouldn’t be failing as bad as it has. Most of the content is blocked behind a 2nd paywall and ‘credits’ are also blocked by a 2nd paywall.

Not really sure what false statements you’re referring to, You can go and see what items and unlocks were available in season 1, they’re published online. No exaggeration needed, you’re just mad you cant get all the stuffs for free instantly. You also keep mentioning the 2nd paywall, what the hell are you talking about.

Are you only reading select things here. The # of unlocks are the number of unlocks. I cant add more myself to pad the numbers. Also I specifically mentioned how it will improve once they make the 3 armor cores cross compatible.
This season looks to have introduced more skin packs by the way that looks very similar to promo coats. The new one on the Aureate Create one for instances is just the Rockstar promo skins with less gold + one for the Rocket Hog on it for instance lol. Guess that means all Promotional coats will get a look-a-like at some point.

Grassroots is the name, it’s mostly Red with some White on it. It’s apparently clean too, which is fairly rare for a coat. I’m glad to see new colors set ups come out to help people look more distinct. But the fact that they’re reusuing the same coats again makes me concerned as well. Can they really not figure out new unique patterns before resuing old ones over and over again? and no, I don’t care if they re-introduce promotional coats at all. I don’t even use the rockstar skins any more lol.
I asked for you to give more details as i doubt you have over 100 parts unlocked without buying anything and you can easily list the things you have unlocked as they are in your armory and divide them between the cores
Also it isn’t selective reading I’m just trying to get you to elaborate as you stated multiple times you have over 100 parts and that you haven’t missed any twitch prime promotion etc

Also I don’t consider the BP a shop purchase. I’m not sure if you are including the BP items or not. I’ll count them when I get home.
Well if you bought the bp it counts as buying something from the shop so you can’t say that you haven’t bought anything
